'16 FL CB Tyler Byrd (UT Commit 2/2/16)

Wow. The Miami fans are pathetic. Tyler is taking some SERIOUS heat from them, so he started to tweet back at them. One was claiming how he's a slave to us "racist folks" of Tennessee and blah blah blah. Never seen such trash

Yeah I've never seen anything like it.... They said he was so stupid that by the time he graduates from UT he can refer to it as "12 years a slave" these Miami fans are all time low.. They need help.

Like I said, Dan leBatard doesnt know **** about the inside workings of any sport. He's a talking head.

And he has a terrible radio program - I can't listen to that crap. Used to enjoy the Hurd but ESPN has been striking out finding a replacement show.

Byrd's buddy Fils-Ami was asked by Basilio and Sinclair about whether the rumors about Byrd being told by Miami players not to come there were true. Long (15-20 second) pause on the other end, before Basilio broke back in and told him he didn't have to answer the question.

So, when they say the players told him not to come was this more of a "Hey, we know you like Tennessee so don't bother showing up" or a "Hey, it kind of sucks here...you should just stay away" kind of thing?

I would assume the latter since I'm sure a lot of Miami players were considering other schools during their recruitment and know how it is.

Sounds like Tennessee during the Dooley years. Richt has only been there a few months though...I guess Golden really messed that place up.

I like this gif every time, regardless of context, just because of JLaw.

The semi-respectful Canes poster that came on here to congratulate us on Byrd and Williams, hinted that Miami's new S&C coach scared Byrd off during his official with the intensity of the workouts...I call bull! He ain't getting off easy with Lawson.

That Cane post about Byrd was a load of bull hock.

Maybe I'm wrong but I didn't take it that way. I took it as the players were lazy or soft and he didn't want to be a part of that. More of an indictment of the culture.

He mentioned that 4 current Canes fell out during the session that Byrd attended and that he didn't want to be a part of THAT. It didn't bespeak of him wanting to be a part of the NEW culture. In layman's terms...he skeered. If something new looks intense and you DON'T want to be a part of it? No other way to read it...for me of course. :hmm:

That guy was not making sense, just throwing mud against the wall. I took it that Byrd was turned off by the work ethic, but the same poster claimed that Byrd lacked confidence by coming to UT. Of course, the opposite is true. Going to Miami would have been the easy path of least resistance. Our players want to shake up the world of college football. They ready.

I'm not sure that any of the Miami fans that I have happened to read comments from ever watched UGA under Mark Richt. They were always soft when they got in big games. He won a lot against teams with lesser talent, but when they got in games against teams with equal talent or even slightly less talent they were usually beaten, often badly. They were soft for the last ten years.

One post in one of the forums they were bashing him in was saying CBJ was going to be fired this year after we went .500 or less.

Agreed on that. Richt didn't bring his UGA S&C guy with him, did he?

We will never know if it's true or not, but you are calling me a liar when I already posted the screen shot that the PLAYERS are saying it..

You know I look at the results from our guys in terms of size, strength, and speed. If another program is harder but doesn't get the same or better results, I would balk too. It's clear our guys love their training regimen. Only a fool would work harder for poorer results.

I think they got some of the caneinsight garbage mixed up with your posts. I was remarking on the implication more than you bringing it to this board. :hi: When you converse with your fellow Cane fans, impart on them that Lawson has WAY more skins on the wall than your new guy, and has put Travis Kelce and Derek Wolfe into the NFL as IMMEDIATE players. :hi:

One of the first things I noticed under Butch...the players bought in early. Whenever it was remarked on, the usual posters would remark that EVERY new S&C was great when they were first hired. Well, we're at the beginning of the fourth incarnation of Lawson's offseason regimen, and aside from some trying to blame freak injuries on Lawson, I'd say it's a resounding success! Any seconds?
