'16 FL CB Tyler Byrd (UT Commit 2/2/16)

Accusing any school of monetary improprieties or extra benefits after the recent developments of that program is hilariously ridiculous. I'm not sure rf vn would partake in such a farce.

Every time Ole Miss and Auburn gets a commit? :eek:hmy:

Chicken Little's and "you're blind if" and "I know his sister's dental hygienist" kind of things?

More or less. Chicken Little definitely came up. A lot of, "you guys are traumatized by the Al Golden era. Recruiting is totally different under Richt." Insert "Dooley" and "Butch" and it's verbatim VN chatter.

"Why would this player who is committed to us consider flipping to school x? We're way better than them."

A lot of the same silly little arguments among themselves that I've seen play out here time and time again.

Butch said no to Victor in favor of Johnson. Is he delusional as well? I mean Victor is rated so much higher! LOL

LOL @ comparing Byrd to Victor. Victor isn't that good. He's overrated by the services IMO. Plus he was at a position we didn't need (outside receiver).

Byrd is a lot better. Future NFL player. If you watched the Army All-American game, he was the best player on the field and showed elite talent.

He's probably the best CB prospect in 2016 and could be a dynamite slot receiver as well.

You don't say no to guys like this. PERIOD.

You're both delusional, but I have to roll with D4H in this particular argument.

Byrd could be a Vol. Is there a scenario where I think Butch would take guys like Brown, Daniels, Dickerson, Kongbo over Byrd? Sure. Byrd is a great talent. Byrd could be the 4th CB. He could be the 5th WR, or a S to go along with Warrior in this class. Butch is recruiting in the SEC. I could definitely see a scenario where OL and DL talent take that spot.

Don't get me wrong. Getting Byrd would be great.

Damn, it hurts to see how other fan bases see our program and the destruction Hamilton,Doofus, and Kiffin did to it...

Sure, that comes across as hypocritical, but my point is this...If UT were to get busted for something similar, do you think every single UT fan posting on message boards, facebook, twitter, etc. would immediately cease and desist with any and all comments about Bama, Ole Miss, and Auburn being cheaters? I don't.

Edit: On here do I think there would be some posters who would point out the hypocrisy. There, not a word. That would be the difference IMO.

If all those guys want in Butch will find a way to make room.

No one turns away a player that is more talented than almost everyone already on the roster.

You really think Butch would invite a dominant CB, who happens to be essentially brothers with our lone RB commit, in for a Official Visit on our dime and then be like, "oops sorry, no room"? I can't see it. We simply wouldn't have recruited him if he was potentially not a take.

A reasonable answer? If Warrior 6' 185 were to pull a shocker and not be a Vol having Byrd in play at 5'11 190 would be a great swap.

I do think Warrior is a Vol.

The VQ guys indicated we passed.

When asked if we passed on Victor: "I think there are other receivers they like better including callaway."

To be fair, we also haven't been caught with the Shapiro mess so there really is no way to tell. I think we have posters that would shut that down though. I also said on the recruiting forum in vn so I'm not talking about Facebook/twitter. I'm not ripping Miami as a whole. Just those guys.

Agreed. The only way we don't get Byrd is if he doesn't want us. No way Butch would risk alienating CFA.

A lot of low class, uneducated posters in that forum. Their affiliation with 'Thug U' makes perfect sense.

Yeah, but whomever went over and trolled them with the stats was hilarious. The rustled Jimmies was/is overflowing at this point.
