Did you see him decommitting from Florida and flipping to Miami?

He committed to UF his Soph season when his brother was a track commit. After a late scholarship offer from UM his brother signed with them. Bryd stay committed for almost a yr but most believed he would end at UM. Once Muschamp was fired he eventually decommitted.

HG would obviously have more insight, but just a few questions...

•I see no Byrd nor anyone from Naples,FL on the Hurricanes track roster. Now, I know that likely means nothing, but are you sure his brother is still there?
•And if he is still there and signed when Byrd was a sophomore, would Byrd definitley be more apt to go to school for two years with one brother that plays a different sport than to go all four years with another brother that plays the same sport?

I know nothing, just saying...

He has a brother that runs track at UM.

Are you 100% sure about that? Their roster lists no Byrd and nobody from Naples. There's also no reference in this piece nor any other I've seen on Tyler:

"My mom and my dad, they are tremendous people and they are who I play for," he said of his mother, Shirley, and father, Charlie. "They give me everything and I hope to one day return the favor."

Byrd is the third in his family to play football at Naples, following in the footsteps of his father and brother, who played a decade ago.

Cory Mull: Tyler Byrd inspires others through leadership

When asked about the last he was burned by a receiver, Naples cornerback Tyler Byrd doesn't hesitate. The receiver's name, the opponent, the year and what he did wrong erupt out of the senior's mouth.

Standout Immokalee receiver J.C. Jackson got the better of him three times during a 33-27 Indians victory in 2013. Byrd recalls he didn't have inside leverage on two Jackson slants and the other was a perfect timing route. "That was the last time. You don't forget it," Byrd said. "It's motivated me for the past two years."

Since then the four-star recruit who is committed to Miami has served as an eraser of opposing teams' best receivers.

Big 15: Naples CB Tyler Byrd is area's top recruit

When asked why he flipped from Florida to Miami last year, Byrd credited Coach Scott:

Good questions and honestly I don't have anwers to either. I know his brother was a back story during his commitment to UF. I guess I'm just using the past as the base for my opinion. May still be a factor or not. He's close to CFA and Scott. Taking an OV the last weekend. All are positives for Vols.

I'm positive about the brother thing. Could be half brother or another CFA relationship. Again this was info out from UF and UM over a year ago.

I'm positive about the brother thing.

We are just going to beat you over the head with questions until you admit that you think he's going to flip to the Vols and that you're a Vols fan and that you've always loved the color orange in absence of blue.

I will say that Larrt Scott is a closer and big brother to many of these Fla kids. They trust him. Parents trust him.

I plead the 5th on everything else.
