The 2016 defensive end from Panama City, Fla. made his third visit to Tennessee in the last 6 weeks. He said he plans on returning for the season opener against Utah State.
He said his relationship with Steve Stripling continues to develop. He's up to 13 offers with Miami being the latest to offer last week.
Robinson certainly likes it here, but the Noles will be tough to beat Florida State has offered and he acknowledged that he grew up a fan of FSU. He camped with the Noles on Thursday before coming up today.
-VolQuest.comClass of 2016 defensive end Janarius Robinson has been turning heads for well over a year. The 6-5, 232 pound prospect from Panama City, Fla. has over a dozen offers in a list that includes Tennessee, Florida State, Miami, Michigan, and Clemson.
Robinson was in town for the Vols orange carpet day in July marking his second trip to Rocky Top.
"I was good to get to see everything again. I like it up here," Robinson said. "The first time I was here, I was here for a couple of hours with my mom."
The second trip was a two day visit where Robinson got a chance to get to know the coaching staff better.
"Mostly, I talk with coach (Derrick) Lett right now, but I'm building a relationship and talking more to coach Strip (defensive line coach Steve Stripling).
"I like Tennessee. It's just a feeling. I most like the facilities."
Robinson has also seen South Carolina, Clemson, Michigan and Florida State this summer. Next month, Robinson hopes to see the Vols again.
"I'm trying to make it to the season opener against Utah State," Robinson said. "I want to try to get as many games as I can from schools that have offered me."
Robinson made in clear that distance is not a concern for him, but the biggest concern for most schools may be the home state Seminoles.
"I grew up a big fan of them," Robinson said. "That was a big offer. I have seen them three times."
However, Robinson said he wouldn't make a decision simply based on who he was a fan of growing up.
"It's about the best fit for me," Robinson said.
At 6-5, 232 pounds and with speed, Robinson is a fit for nearly everyone.
"I'm athletic enough to play in a three point stance and to stand up. They see me as being able to do both.
"I think everyone likes my versatility and athletic ability."
Still Robinson ever thought he would have over a dozen offers heading into his junior season.
"Not really. I didn't think it would blow up this much this early."
Im trying to look inside of things, you know, see how things are going, Robinson told InsideTennessee. (I want) to see if I find something different that I like. Robinson said his mother liked their time on campus.
I really like the facilities, but I want to get a little more in with the (Vols) coaches, get a little more of a relationship with them, Robinson said.

Florida State defensive end pledge Janarius Robinson remains committed to the Noles but in the same breath said he is "keeping my options open." Robinson hopes to take unofficial visits to Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Tennessee and make a return visit to Tallahassee for the Seminoles' spring game.
One interesting note from late this week was Florida State defensive end commitment Janarius Robinson confirming a visit to Tennessee for the Orange & White Game. While we've noted several times on the board the past few months, Tennessee has never stopped recruiting the big-time defensive end and while it certainly should be considered a long shot, Tennessee has him listening.
Florida State defensive end commitment Janarius Robinson of Panama Beach (Florida) Bay was in Gainesville on Monday for an unofficial visit with the Gators. The ESPN Junior 300 prospect said recently he is "keeping his options" despite his commitment. Hes also hoping to take visits to Alabama, Auburn and Tennessee later this spring.
