Do you think we would waste a Scholly on his brother? Wasn't that the reason he decommitted from UF since they wouldn't offer his brother?

Long shot. Only way I think it's remotely possible would be if Butch missed on Brown, Thompson, Daniels, and it's a situation of leave the scholarship open or get both brothers. Butch might take him then. Just not going to happen.

They both have offers to Iowa St. And VT, he sounded unsure in his interview if they would consider separate schools.

Yep, I am going to be that guy...no offense to Bailey, he has some upside..but considering we may only have a few more spots and need to be selective with them it would not be a good sign if we accepted him at this point. These type of project players are guys you aim for in the summer, not with three weeks left in the recruiting period. I am scratching my head a bit with our pursuit of him.

When you put a lot of faith in how those visits on the 29th go, you need emergency back up plans like this. If he commits somewhere else before the 29th, so be it. I think it's a just in case option.

No expert, but I think we can do better than that. I guess that doesn't bode well to who else we are recruiting

Got to be kidding me!! His brother is not a good prospect at all. Really hope Woods commits soon so maybe it will send them to VATECH.

Just in case offer.

If Butch doesn't think he's got Brown locked in a day or so from NSD, Daniels flips to TX from OU, and Thompson is a no go, then Butch calls the Bailey boys and asks if they want in.

Wondering if we did that to put pressure on woods to go ahead and commit?

I doubt it. They play different positions.

I've thought it's Woods if Simmons and Kongbo are a no go.

I think the staff might would take JaQuan at WDE now. The brother angle has it a wait and see.

JaQuan put up very good numbers for Raines this past season with 95 tackles, 14 sacks & 13 TFL in 14 games.

We have not offered his brother according to Hyams.

A committable offer at this point didn't make sense. I think both would had committed on the trip if the offer was legit. Probably a wait and see "offer". UT gets a DT commit and JaQuan may need to decide if he wants to play with his brother or at UT. VaTech still makes sense with these two.
