Also Ford, who ended up at Rutgers (and has subsequently transferred).

Was he another attempt at a forced blue shirt or just cut loose? I don't think they even try any blue shirt stuff this year. Next year could be a good class as long as the in state bridges haven't been burned with passing on all the talent in TN this year.

What great talent did UT "pass" on this year?

I guess you could ask Stanford, Cal, A&M, Ole Miss, UCLA, UNC, Michigan and other programs. They all felt the talent was scholarship worthy.

I am sorry I didn't realize a player going to another school means we "passed" on them. Did we also "pass" on Jalen Ramsey, Michael Oher, and countless, countless others? I guess you think a UT offer is the end all for every player in the state of Tennessee.

If our coaches were focused on locking down the state a lot of those guys who chose those other schools Would be Vols. I have no doubt.

Fort said the other day that Scott hire was huge for That Tampa area because he had a coach tell him that TN was never going to get another player from the area because of the Ford incident. That coach then said Scott changes the game and TN will start getting guys again

I can't remember Ford's first name. Does anybody know where he ended up signing?

Per P Fort

New tight ends coach Larry Scott will be in the Sunshine State over the next few days, first hitting up Miami and the surrounding areas before seeing Jordan Woods and Latrell Williams on Friday.

Our staff has proven to be great talent evaluators. Not sure why this matters. They wanted Bryce Matthews and Dillon Mitchell and maybe Joejuan Williams. Most everyone else, especially other than those we took outside the top ten, they didn't believe were good enough. We are recruiting elite talent in Georgia and Florida. Sorry to say, but Cal and UNC are not on our level.

Coaches get the most talented players for our system

If they just got Tennessee players every year, we'd be in rough shape. Granted, some simply did just pick other teams
