Lol no. Spanish, French, Dutch, Creole, and Jamaican "English" are the most prominent languages of the Caribbean, and Jamaican English is barely intelligible sometimes to the American or British version of English based on the slang, phrasing, etc. And since you feel like hopping on a linguistic high horse about English proficiency, it's actually spelled "Caribbean."
This kid displayed a lot of class in how he reacted to his UGA visit if you recall. Richt didn't manage to see him and he was very mature about it.
This video reinforces that opinion of him. And if he hasn't been hurt his jr. year he would have been high on everyone's board.
Now that I've said that, does anyone else think that the awkward guy doing the interview is channeling Chris Farley?
So who do we think this guy kind of compares to running style wise? Does he have alot of shake to his running style or is he more of a straight line guy? Intrigued to see him this fall, although I know he probably won't get much run freshman year being behind 2 NFL backs.
I watched his highlights again for the first time in awhile last night. I think he looks more like a straight line guy. I could see him taking over kick returns after Berry is gone. His speed is impressive. I mean he was just burning through everybody and nobody in those videos had a shot at getting an angle on him. He just gets up field. His highlights kind of reminded me of Jalen Hurds actually. But Carlin isn't as big. But plays kind of big, if that makes sense. I watched most of our current commits highlights last night but his was the most exciting to me. He looks like a stud. Fast and has some power. Coach G will get the most out of him.
Just watched his highlight again as well. I remember a scout saying one of the reasons he didn't get rated higher was his speed, which is inconsistent with his film. I see him fitting into the offense like Kamara does with the benefit of having an extra two years with Gillespie.
-VQ.Tennessee was quietly always a team to contend with as most projected Fils-aime to end up at either Auburn or Georgia. But, Georgia decided to head elsewhere on the running back front and the Vols went head-to-head with the Tigers and beat them out for one of Florida's top backs.
Fils-aime visited just once last summer before taking some time to pull the trigger at the end of July. Other schools would try and make a run, but the Vols held on to the talented all-purpose back, the only running back in this class.
