'16 FL RB Carlin Fils-Aime (Vol commit 7/30/15)

A little aside, but do you guys get a little concerned when you see a thread from a long time committed player bumped to the top of the threads? I'm like "oh hell now what are they taking visits?" :)

I did but had a technical issue and it wasn't sent. Sorry about that.

No worries! Just wanted to make sure there aren't any glitches since NSD is in 9 days, and I will be at Disney. Have to make sure my phone is firing on all cylinders, since I may not get to check the website as much as I usually do during the day.

CFA was miffed he was ignored by CMR on a summer trip to UGA when Richt was still there and before he committed to us. He won't be going to Miami.

I wonder if this is what is hurting Miami with Byrd. The family didn't mind Byrd going to Miami with previous staff but not that Richt is there they prefer him to be with CFA at TN. Talk about karma biting you in the behind. It always bites worse than the original deed

Just read some of this guy's tweets. He has excellent grammar and spelling for a high school kid. I didn't think they taught this generation that stuff anymore.

I would suggest that due to an impoverished childhood, not a huge assumption dealing with Haiti. He was extremely thankful for his opportunity and took full advantage of said opportunity. Our society today is so thankless, petty, and entitled that we throw every gift and resource our forefathers built and gave to us. Self esteem is not an issue in America today, humility is.

CFA, he has it and gets it.

Humility and work ethic. Made American great but now a scarce resource.

That is impressive. Someone said he was from Haiti? How is our education/culture so far behind a third world country when it comes to intelligent sounding kids?

Naples is a solid academic HS, especially for a public school. Collier County has tons of money and as a result has a pretty solid education base, similar to Williamson County in TN.

... is how I have Hurd it pronounced on the radio. Also sounds a little creepy :p

Are these the play signs they will hold up on the sideline when he goes in the game?

“Coach G reminds me of my freshman running back coach, coach Martin,” Fils-Aime told InsideTennessee. “Coach Martin and I have a really good bond. When coach G came down, he and I had spoken. I thought to myself that he and I could be really close. I took a visit there, and during my visit I spoke to (Tennessee) coach (Butch) Jones and in my head I thought, ‘Oh, he’s a really cool guy. I like him.’ So that kind of sealed the deal.”

“Every single one of them are great guys,” Fils-Aime said. “They’re all really excited to come to Tennessee and play the best they can to make everyone happy — their teammates, coaches, families, really just everyone. They want to play the best that they can and have a great season and put Tennessee on the map.”

“To have my brother go to the same school as I am would be really awesome,” Fils-Aime said. “It would be even better because that’s someone I’ve basically been with for some time of my life. I would love it.”

“Everyone is like, ‘Since you’re going to Tennessee, I’ll cheer for them,’ Now they’re liking it and have been watching more Tennessee games. They’re falling in love with it,” Fils-Aime said.
