North is staying I imagine. He wants to get his Law Degree eventually.

Williams (So)

Yeah we will have some opportunity.

So I spoke with one of North's old high school coaches/family friends as early as last month (I taught his daughter this past school year). According to him, if North has a good enough year this year the plan is for him to jump to the NFL early.

That's not earth shattering news, nor a certainty, but I thought I would share.

Wouldn't mind that at all and I acctually see that happening. If he stays healthy I expect a 700 yard season out of him. He had a great start to last years season. Also the physical intangibles will be a boost as well for pro scouts.

Would be nice to define good enough. I'd assume he'd want a 2nd round or better grade. I'm guessing 900 yds or better, maybe like 8 TD's.

I know a lot of people don't think highly of Bruce and Perry, (I do) but we'll have them as well.

production =/= draft stock

sometimes it does. but usually its a combination of physical attributes and production. right now Marquez has 1st round physical attributes. he just needs to stay healthy, play a full season, and produce like he's capable of.

I think we should plan on him leaving. Guys with his talent don't stay 4 years.

I forgot about Perry. Bruce should become an excellent special teams guy.

I actually want to see Perry get a look at CB. but Perry has been impressive so far in workout.

Staff prefers bigger corners. You want the ball in Perrys hands anyway.

I agree with the production comment but it helps remove question marks and could mean a round difference which = $.

No. Most feel it's between Florida State and Auburn. This will probably get him to officially visit Florida though.

Pshh, like Butch is really scared of McElwain's recruiting. Until he starts pulling top 5 classes every year, he'll never be able to out recruit Butch.

Grier can throw a ball. Florida will always recruit well. We have to hope that our year jump start on talent and experience will carry is to a couple victories in a row and an even playing field after that. The Tennessee vs Florida match-up along with a strong Georgia and better than average USC,Missouri will make the eastern division rise back to equal footing with the West.
