UGA's to lose

Really hope they don't because some big time coach could walk into a gold mine and actually win a championship

That's if...A poster brought up a good point in another thread and that is that Richt is a really good coach and has Georgia playing at around 85% of their ceiling (going 10-2, 11-1, being in the East hunt every year). There is a fairly good chance that if they fired Richt, any hire they made would be a downgrade in recruiting and/or coaching because coaches of his caliber don't come around often. Short of hiring a Nick Saban or Urban Meyer type, at best its likely a wash. Interesting to consider for sure. I almost hope they do fire him and roll the dice.

For someone who is Georgia's to lose, he sure does visit and like Tennessee quite a bit. I would say it's closer than people think. I wouldn't doubt it that we lead, but jmo.

OV is one of the only true insiders on the board, especially with Georgia kids. He's UGA's to lose

I'm not saying OV isn't, and forgive my posivol attitude on this one. I just feel like we still have a great shot here. He may giving off the Georgia vibe, due to the pressure, living in Georgia.

I agree. He may the best coach they have ever had and them getting rid of him will only be a positive for UT. Sure they may hire the next Saban but the odds are they will not and the legend of Pruitt is way out in front of his performance.

Personally, I think he just likes to come to UT for a good time and to get away from home for a weekend. When it comes down to it, he will sign with UGA. JMO, hope I'm wrong.

Haha. Welcome.

I think they have approximately the same odds: 85-90%. Maybe better.

I'm also taking into consideration whether Glenn will meet his demise the way he does in the comics. I'm leaning towards the show taking out another character out in that fashion to change it up. So, I'd agree odds of survival for both are high.

Yeah i don't read the comics but I read about what happens in the comics during my desperate research to find hope after watching the show. Ha.

At this point, I think they will have to save him in a super creative way in order for it not to seem like a cheap gimmick. So, I kind of hope he is dead.

And I'm not gonna say anymore since this is the wrong thread.

I feel the same way. I remember at this time last year Drew Richmond was recruiting against us and Kyle Phillips was LSU's to lose. They both ended up Vols.

I think we land this kid. Butch knows he's the missing piece to a national championship roster in 2016.

Richmond is not a Georgia kid. By all means stay positive but the recruitments are not comparable.

He might as well been. I remember reading all last year how Memphis folks hate Tennessee. That its Ole Miss country. And that we had no chance.

I just think you don't give kids credit for making their own decisions. I was not an athlete but I did go against my parents wishes for school. They wanted me to stay close to home. I wanted to go out of state. Wouldn't be surprised if Mecole feels the same.

Just because this is the info OV is getting right now, doesn't mean this is how things will end. As we have seen with recruiting, it is very fluid. Also, this could just be a smokescreen from Mecole, due to the pressure of the Georgia fanbase. I wouldn't count us out here. I appreciate the info OV brings. I just think we still have a good shot here.

What were you saying at this time last year about Drew Richmond?

If Butch wants him bad enough, we'll get him.

I don't recall a reputable poster named RebelVenom reminding us weekly how much Richmond was Ole Miss' to lose though. We have a pretty legit source on Hardman's activity. We didn't with Richmond. Richmond recruitment was a lot different in many ways actually.
