And he's usually proven right to do so. The "insider" worship makes for good laughter

And yet he always looks like a douche while doing it. Pretty easy to just ignore the person posting the BS rumors or actually post something that refutes what they posted. Quite another thing to just be waiting for the first opportunity to be an ass.

But the one time I had true insider knowledge I was told I was an idiot and the coach in question would never leave his present job in basketball. Well, within two weeks he did and signed with another school because as I knew, he told us that until Martin was gone, he would not do anything but wanted it known he wanted out of where he was and IF Martin was canned ect.... I was told I was a idiot and stupid but was later proven correct. It just does no benefit to treat people who try to share info they have like that. Who cares if it is true or not. TIFWIW and move on if you think it is crazy. No reason to run away people who actually do hear things at times.

Recruiting wrap: Hardman recently returned from an official visit to Michigan and raved about his time in Ann Arbor. He's also visited Miami, but the Canes are viewed as a non-factor in his recruitment. He has long maintained that Georgia and Tennessee are his co-leaders, but a recent visit to Alabama earlier this month seems to have put the Tide heavily in the mix as well.

How this changes things: Hardman was close with both Richt and defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt. On Sunday, he went as far as to say that Pruitt should be the man to replace Richt. Assuming a new coach cleans house and brings in new coordinators with him to Athens, it could be a big blow to Georgia's chances.

Prediction: Hardman has always been high on Tennessee and this could be exactly the opening Butch Jones and his staff needs to close on another high-profile prospect.

I agree. I have stumbled into legit inside info on exactly 2 occasions. In both instances I got the "idiot treatment" for sharing.

BTW, for those wanting to check my stats, one of the pieces of information I was told, did not come to fruition, the other one did, so I'm batting .500. I think that makes me a shoe-in for the insider Hall of Fame.

I think UT is sitting 3rd for Hardman behind Georgia and Alabama. We're going to have to wait until probably end of January for all the musical chairs to play out and be filled or go ahead and put all our eggs on Velus Jones.

If Pruitt is retained by UGA then UGA it is.

If Smart goes to UGA or USCe then Saban would probably extend an offer to Pruitt to replace Smart. If so, then Alabama it is.

Only way I think we have a realistic shot is if Pruitt goes somewhere outside the SEC and Southeastern U.S. altogether which I don't see happening.

Pruitt has put some kind of voodoo trance on Hardman. Let's hope UT has the magic elixir.

Pretty bad when you're using me as your source. I called Martin leaving several weeks earlier. And, you're not an idiot, you're a moran. Keep it straight.

Have you got the list? Otherwise, Skeeter mentioning that as even a possibility gives me heartburn.

No but do you seriously think UGA fired Richt to hire Cutcliffe? It might be the most random off the wall thing I have ever seen. It's basically Richt but a lot older.

It's Kirby Smarts job

People are saying Pruitt is a shoe in to Bama, but Saban doesn't seem the type to hire a gigantic personality who pisses off everyone else on staff.

Sounds like a perfect fit at Bama to me lol. Pruitt wants it and it would be an easy transition but it sounds like Saban may go Mel Tucker instead. Mel has done really well with the secondary this year and has NFL DC experience.

This, a thousand times this. My "forget this" moment on here was when I got trashed when I knew something about the AJ/Williams rape fiasco. Some accused me of piggybacking on Eazy's posts who was posting similar comments from different source(s). My source happened to be a VFL in law enforcement that absolutely knew. I would never reveal that source because he is a long time close family friend and I would never cause him problems in his employment. When it happened I was in town. When I spoke with him I was on vacation a few days later. But I was just wrong and lying according to some because my hopes for it working out OK from my first posts were changed by the realities from when I found out the truth.

I have two friends that have extensive football coaching backgrounds. One even worked some of the Bowden family camps and is still friends with Jimbo. But I will never post what I hear from him on here because of the snarky junk that several post when you make a statement about somebody they don't care for, like Jimbo. I will post what we come up with about the scheme, play calling, player usage, recruits' highlights, etc. But I will no longer post what my friends see and hear when they go to practice. Not worth it.

FWIW, the three of us agree, it's all on Butch from this point forward. Hope he takes the step up into the elite because it could be a great period for football on the hill.

He did hire Kiffin when many thought that was a big move on his part personality wise.

But who are we kidding, Saban is going to the Colts.... :p

Pruitt was already hired by Saban. But according to this article he was passed over twice for promotions before promoting him the third time.

Kiffin isn't that big of a personality. He's a really quiet guy. Sleezy and says some cheeky things, but he's not loud and obnoxious to the point of making other coaches on staff threaten to quit.

As for my thoughts on Mecole..let it go..let it go. This dude is either a Dawg, or he will follow the scumbag wherever he ends up.

You never give up on players of this caliber. Remember our biggest impact freshmen (Darrin Kirkland Jr.) was committed to Michigan till December when there was a coaching change. Then he flipped to his second choice....us. Even if we're Mecole's second choice right now, I wouldn't give up. Especially with what just happened. Crazier things have happened.

I still believe we land him on NSD.

Which is strange because aren't most schools telling Hardman he'd play WR? Admittedly I haven't kept up with recruiting this year as much as I have in the past... but I seem to remember most schools saying he would be on offense. Is that right?

I had "insider" information ONE time and I was ignored lol. Not sure if I would've rather received the idiot treatment or be ignored :)
