"I just got to talk to the coaches and continue to build those relationships," Hardman said. "I just hung out with the team as they were getting ready for the practice and I was able to go to some of the team meetings. It was basically a really chill day."
Hardman arrived early in the afternoon just as the Vols were finishing their first practice of the day and was able to see what a day of fall camp looks like for Tennessee.
"It was nice to see them get out of the first practice and then come back in and get some treatment and get some rest. It was just like a normal two-a-day," Hardman explained. "But, it was cool to see them in their meetings and see how they interact with each other in the meetings. That was good to see."
Between the Vols' two practices, Hardman sat in on several team meetings to get a feel for what it's like to be a receiver for the Vols.
"I learned that they are serious about what they're doing," Hardman said. "They're trying to get better every day and coach Z is serious about his receivers getting better. I saw a lot of good out of what I saw in the practice and the meeting."
With more than 30 offers, Hardman said it was time to narrow it down to a more manageable group.
"It took a load of my shoulders. I got a top 10 list now and I can actually talk to the coaches and there's no pressure to talk to the other schools," Hardman said. "I'm looking forward to building a relationship with those schools and hopefully I can visit them and get a feeling for them."
Hardman said the next step is setting up official visits and those will likely go to schools that he can't drive to like Michigan, Stanford, Oklahoma and Miami he said.
He plans to be back in Knoxville for the Oklahoma game on Sept. 12.
