I am saying we land Kyle. And CBJ pitch to him and Mecole are being premiere WR here at Tennessee. He did not delay hos announcement just because he wanted to put it off. We have not let off the throttle recruiting this kid. And CBJ is the lead recruiter for KD

As I have said before, the offense Butch runs lends itself to shiftier types of WRs. I don't like it, but it is just the facts. Pig Howard flourished in our offense for a reason.

They're all injured mostly. Malone is soft, North, PW, Croom are hurt, Pearson missed a lot of time and reps, Pig got cut. JJ is a freshman. Smith is the best option and he's been great. Not ideal plus Dobbs strength is running. Play calling has been hand cuffed in our passing game.

I said it weeks ago Kyle Davis is not important to us at all. Mecole Hardman and Velus Jones are.

Plus I was never sold on Davis as a 5 star WR. He lacked great height or speed. Being only 6'1", he needs to run faster than 4.65 for me to be sold on him.

So because he committed to another school, he is just not that good now. Yet, if he would have committed to Tennessee, he would be praised for being a stud WR and every bit deserving of his #1 ranking. LOL.

Davis is a complete stud and we could have used him.

Just giving my opinion not saying I'm a better talent evaluator than anyone. I just like fast or tall WRs. The best being one that combines both height and speed.

6'1" receivers with 4.65 speed just don't impress me. If you're gonna get a 4.6 receiver them he better be 6'4" like Preston Williams.
