'16 GA ATH Kyle Davis

Just giving my opinion not saying I'm a better talent evaluator than anyone. I just like fast or tall WRs. The best being one that combines both height and speed.

6'1" receivers with 4.65 speed just don't impress me. If you're gonna get a 4.6 receiver them he better be 6'4" like Preston Williams.

Why does my opinion offend you so much?

It doesnt offend me. My post was my opinion. I realize this is your opinion, but obviously Butch, our staff and almost all of the recruiting experts agree that Davis is a flat out stud and deserving of his #1 WR. You dont agree with them, ok then. But acting so nonchalant about a WR as good as Davis, like we dont need him for this offense is crazy. I know its your opinion, but its my opinion that yours is crazy.

5 star #1 WRs bust all the time. And I never said we don't need Davis. I'd welcome him with open arms if he chose us.

I've just said we have bigger needs. Right now this offense needs Mecole Hardman and Velus Jones more than Kyle Davis. We already have big physical possesion receivers on the outside (see Preston Williams, Josh Malone, Marquez North, and Jason Croom). What we lack is the fast shifty slot receiver since Pig was dismissed. That is what our offense sorely needs over another physical outside reciever.

Good grief some of the posts in here...smdh. As I expected, what do we see in here. Oh we are after better WRs, he was not that high on our board blah, blah. So because he committed to another school, he is just not that good now. Yet, if he would have committed to Tennessee, he would be praised for being a stud WR and every bit deserving of his #1 ranking. LOL.

Davis is a complete stud and we could have used him.

Agree. Davis picked where he wanted to go and it wasn't us. Wish him well. CBJ will get us the talent we need. Not worried.

When reading these threads, I expect to see a lot of cartoon Eeyores and Piglets in the stands. But much to my surprise, when I get to the stadium it's actual live people.

He's an early enrollee, doubt that the result of the game on Saturday would change his decision since he will be on campus in a little over a month. If we somehow win, it's huge recruiting momentum. If we get destroyed, we just tell him he will see immediate playing time.

Tennessee is selling immediate playing time less and less as our roster builds toward championship depth. Hopefully, we will be doing what Bama has been doing. Good to see us going up as you guys pass us going the other direction. Enjoy KD.

Callahan on 247 has said for awhile that Davis is not the top of WR board because they think slot WRs are more of a priority for this class. They would have taking him but they have Mecole, Calloway and Velus as higher targets because we don't have any of those guys on roster.

I agree Davis will be good and wish we had him but those people aren't wrong that he wasn't #1 WR target. I think he was coming into season but as season went along staff has realized a major weakness in WR core is no guys that can get open at snap and tear up middle of field

In other words, no Pig replacements.
