'16 GA CB Baylen Buchanan (UT Commit 1/1/16)

10am to 4 pm are the better listening hours. You get Vince 10-12, who is Ok but he has different beat writers who Co host everyday. Josh and Will who have the lunch hour, 12-3 pm, and a good amount of news/press conferences happen during their time frame. I also think Josh and will are funny. They have a similar humor that I do. Then, 3-4 pm you get the Hyams news and notes and I turn it off after that. Hyams goes until 7 but that's on you. They talk more NASCAR than I care for.

Callahan said that it is not out of the question he visits Ohio State this week. It doesn't sound likely, but there is a chance.

Ohio State still seems to be in the picture with Baylen Buchanan, at least to some degree, and it's still not completely out of the question that the Buckeyes could host him on an official visit this weekend. T

Maybe we aren't stopping him from taking the trip now? We can drop him with less backlash if Byrd gives us the green light this weekend? Just a thought...

If he takes a visit to OSU, he better be certain that's where he wants to end up.

Butch is just begging players to make a PR friendly move that will allow him to absolutely rack up this weekend, especially if Dickerson is onboard.

It's public Butch told him not to go... Butch is in the clear.

Nick's on point here...

I was wondering if we would see him end up taking the OSU visit this weekend. If he does, then not only does that mean great news with Byrd, but also most likely with 2 or 3 out of Brown/Daniels/Kongbo/ Dickerson, depending what the number of free spots actually is.

Whoa whoa wait a minute, this recruit can't visit another school, its against the law, he's breaking the law. Coaches can't drop players then players cant look around either.... This is not allowed, somebody call the recruiting police, notify USA today and other local news agencies!!!

Interesting. So Butch Jones has the right to tel a recruit what he can and cannot do with his own personal life? I was not aware that a coach at a public institution had that kind of ability.

I do not think that Butch told him he could not take the trip. I don't doubt that Butch might have suggested that they would prefer that he not take the trip, but he is not foolish enough to drive a very good CB away on the chance that he might be able to get a better one.

Just think how foolish he would look if he drove Buchanon away and then Tyler Byrd decided to stick with Miami.

This isn't anything new. Clemson doesn't allow their commits to visit other schools either. The reason Marlin Lane went to UT was because Clemson pulled the offer for visiting. Unless you're a can't miss prospect, you better not take visits or you could end up without a scholarship

Replace either with Dickerson or Daniels and no one looks "foolish".

Some that do not understand recruiting, should lurk and learn before posting. But usually it's the same ones that act dumb intentionally and think they are trolling. Or are just dumb. Common sense applies.

Go and say goodbye. Opens a spot for one of many wanting in.

I am sure that is true. But most coaches encourage their recruits to take visits. They want a kid that is certain of his choice. They don't want a kid who bolts the first time they have to deal with issues.

Over the last 3 years, Butch Jones has always been upfront with our prospects. Each commitment is given a full understanding of what is expected of them both athletically and academically. Much has been made locally and nationally of those recruits that have decommitted because their offers have changed. In most, if not all of those cases, the recruits did not meet those requirements. But none of them, to my knowledge have ever been told that they cannot take an unofficial or official visit to another institution. We do not own them.

Much different visiting schools during the season and the last few weeks before NSD

Visit in those last two weeks and your spot is in jeopardy imo

He might already think his spot is in jeopardy anyhow since we are hosting Byrd this weekend.
