'16 GA CB Baylen Buchanan (UT Commit 1/1/16)

When you need to make room late, here is the prime candidate situation you look for.

Lmbo. Now you are just making crazy comments. No way we tell Baylen to gitshirt. We are still actively recruiting him even though he is a commit. Plus he is close with Warrior. Not to be confused as being part of a package deal. This kid will shine here. Probably the sleeper of this class.

So you think we're telling a talented corner commit of ours, who's a close friend and HS teammate with arguably our top target for the entire class (Warrior), to go away and join what is currently the top class in the country?

Warrior did it the right way. He's taken his visits before committing. Baylen looks like he isn't. If I needed to drop someone two weeks before NSD, it's the commitment still shopping himself around. Not so much the guy who is acting like a commitment. If I have to lose a CB and a LB takes that spot, so be it. I've got Henderson abd Osborne already in. I'll take an extra CB in 2017 and one less LB if that's what I need to do.

but isn't the traditional Star an oversized safety/smaller LB that is used in underneath zone mostly? Who fits that description for us currently?

JRM, Elliot Berry, Quarte Sapp, Dillon Bates (if he drops to his pre-Mike-experiment weight), Cortez McDowell (former safety though possibly too big now if his current listed weight of 240 is accurate) would be my first guesses.

Our crop of JRM, McDowell, Sapp, Berry, Bates will eat this up. Other than 20 who is a little bigger they are tailor made for Shoop

If Team120 plays as well as many of us anticipate, I'd guess we start games in 4-3 and finish them in nickel, considering many teams will be playing from behind against us and will be forced to abandon run games and throw it up. JMO, but I'd anticipate more of a 50-50 split in terms of Star vs Nickel.

You try and sign the player who can help you the most, whichever that is

Do you know if there's legit concern with this visit to OSU?
