As Tennessee had Chidi Okonya decommit yesterday, the Vols are a finalist for Georgia defensive end Jordan Smith. Smith is down to Tennessee, where he took an official visit this past weekend, and Florida. The Gators are new to the race and are trying to get him to visit this weekend for an official visit and it sounds like he's leaning towards that. We do know that Tommy Thigpen was scheduled to see him tonight and Florida coaches are expected in later this week.

UPDATE - DEC. 10: Smith decommitted from South Carolina earlier in the week and said it was down to just Tennessee and Florida. He could take a Florida official visit this weekend after Jim McElwain visited his school earlier this week. Some believes Tennessee holds the lead heading into the weekend, but if he visits it becomes a wait and see.

Earlier in the week Thigpen met with Jordan Smith as he's down to just Tennessee and Florida. Jim McElwain visited Smith this week in school and as of Thursday night Smith is expected in Florida this weekend for an official visit. Tennessee may try to see Smith one last time on Sunday once Smith gets home from his visit.

Tennessee has felt like they were in a good position there but with Florida making a late charge we're not as sure.

UF had about 4 DEs and 2-3 OLBs in their class already before him and we still couldnt pull him to UT.
