I drove through Sugar Hill GA today - home of Lanier High School and Derrick Brown. Did not see Derrick, but had my Vol shirt on just in case. I pulled in to the store parking lot where I was going and next to me was a white car with Orange UT stickers on the back. It is a sign!!

I thought only coaches could visit a recruit. Seems to me to be a violation of NCAA rules. I know a Grad. Asst. can't recruit off campus. Why would a former player be allowed to?

Rucker is actually good to follow because just because he provides so much info, but man alive, his personality is quite insufferable. One of those guys who is powerfully unoriginal and unfunny but somehow thinks he is the most clever and hilarious guy in the room. Not to mention how much he loves to pay himself on the back, especially in his own revisionist history where he will claim "I always thought x would be a great player..." despite never once saying anything to the effect.

If he would just do his job and report on things, he's actually fairly good at it. He just can't resist making it about himself and how cool he thinks he is, which is not in his best interest.

Plus, he is a Cubs fan. There is that.

He is insinuating pretty hard that Lester is a bag man and he met with Brown which is suspicious this late in the process with Lester not being a coach... Maybe I'm naive but I don't see the Browns being on the take and I'm chalking this up to NSD crazy week... Gonna be a long weekend here.

any private citizen can talk to him if he wants them to. Just because you are a former player does not mean you are employed by the school. You think AU is dumb enough to use an employee?

It's really going to improve after this weekend. he would have liked it anyway but he is also visiting with several guys ready to pull trigger or already have. Don't underestimate that group effect of future teammates
