Of course we're still in it. Derrick Brown said he "can't wait" to visit Knoxville this weekend with his family, and his mother has said multiple times that the entire family is looking forward to getting to know Shoop. They seem like nice, levelheaded people who're looking for the best school for their son-- not a payoff.

Well hell, if any former player can meet with recruits I know Al Wilson and Co could make a few drive-by's... Lester has nothing on some former VFL's that would talk some of this kids up.

Hey guys, I posted last night about my conversation with a friend who is an Auburn booster and fairly clued in with their recruiting. I spoke with him again today, and thought I would pass on this update for whatever it's worth.

As I mentioned before, my friend was highly worried about us having the last visit, but that he was hoping Garner would be able to get Brown turned to the Barn between Sunday and Wednesday. Apparently, something happened in the last 24 hours that makes my friend think Garner is not going to be able to pull that off. His exact words were "looks like Garner won't be able to help like I thought." I pressed for more details, but he didn't offer up more than that.

My own 100% speculation on this: maybe Brown's media blackout was also privately communicated to other staffs? Would explain my friend's gloomy outlook. If Brown has indicated he doesn't want to reach out after spending a weekend in Knoxville, that would be perfect for us.

Knock it out of the park, Butch!

I think Sunday starts the no contact period

All the crystal balls don't mean a lot on this one BC we get the last visit. Auburn is leading right now and is good at clo$ing kids out right at nsd. Everyone knows they are dirty as hell. Only program in the sec that is more crooked than bama in recruiting.

Coaches can't contact, but recruit can reach out. I think my guy was counting on Brown reaching out to Garner after the visit, but it's sounding like Brown is going silent after he leaves Knoxville.

Recruits can contact other recruits. So can hs coaches. There are ways around that rule and auburn will find a way around it.

Ole Miss begs to differ.

He is insinuating pretty hard that Lester is a bag man and he met with Brown which is suspicious this late in the process with Lester not being a coach... Maybe I'm naive but I don't see the Browns being on the take and I'm chalking this up to NSD crazy week... Gonna be a long weekend here.

He answered my question who Lester was and I didn't insinuate anything. I just didn't know who he was in relation to Brown.

I meant that secking was insinuating that Lester was acting as a bag man for Auburn by visiting Brown.

I read Lester trains athletes now. No different than Wilhoit tweeting about kickers. Guys like that promote their clients through Twitter to get more clients.
