Hypothetically if Butch were coach of Georgia, he would reign No. 1 every year. The talent is filthy in that state and no one sells better than Butch.

Glad we got him.

You think Butch could sell the benefits of an indoor practice closet? He's good, but is he that good?

Absolutely! He would sell how much of a benefit it is to feel suffocated and uncomfortable. Then, when your back is against the wall or your own goal line, it won't feel uncomfortable, because you have literal experience with playing with your backs against a wall.

I really hope this is the year UGA loses 5 and gets rid of Richt. It would give us another top 5 class for sure.

Me too. He's soooo good. I sure wish Georgia would fire him. We just can't compete with that guy.....I'd really hate it if they gave him a life time contract or something.

I chuckled...thanks for that!

Sorry didn't mean that in a demeaning tone. Even not during rush hour traffic is screwy around Buford and Sugar Hill thanks to ongoing construction.

No problem, and admittedly I haven't been through Atlanta in about 6-7 months, and I've got friends that say traffic can be a beyotch on 285 even during non-rush hour periods.

All that really matter in the distance factor is can the recruit be home for a weekend? And the answer is yes imo.

Actually its not about DB going home,it is more about his parents going to games. It isnt a hop skip and a jump from Gwinnett county to Knoxville and back.

Who knows where he goes, as great a recruiter as Butch is i just think theres too many factors against us here.

He either wants to be a Vol or he has a nice piece of tail in town.

Id say both.

I always thought the close to home thing is overrated concerning recruits. I'm sure it helps to be closer, but not as much as it's hyped to be for big time players. As far as Derrick Brown goes I have no idea, but generally speaking I think it's been an over credited factor. People where I'm from travel 4+ hours to Knoxville all the time to watch games, and they don't even have kids at the university much less on the team.
