I don't base everything on them, but they are correct most of the time. They are wrong occasionally, but it's not the norm. I go with the odds.:hi:

Who is they? Callahan? Rucker? I think Hubbs and P Fort has shown to have a better track record over time. Hell Woody Womack predicted Brown to Tennessee just a couple of days ago. Guess it depends on you want to go with. By the way, how did Callahan's comment reference Kyle Phillips shake out? Love 247 player ranking updates, but their analysts are 2nd rate IMO.

Think this comes down to UT and AU. Makes sense considering it seems we always battle for a guy late in the process every year.

And as I have said all along he was an Auburn fan growing up. From what I have been told even those closest to DB are in the dark. Going to be exciting till the end and whoever gets him gets a great family too.

But don't they change rather quickly? Check back on those crystals balls before signing day. I bet they won't be what they are right now.

The Crystal Ball predictions are only useful to an extent. First off, there are really only maybe a half-dozen analysts on there whose predictions are worth anything. The rest are garbage IMO. The other thing to consider is when the predictions were made. For the 2016 class, predictions made in Nov 2014 might not be terribly valuable at this point. And even when predictions are semi up-to-date, things can change quickly.

I would pay more attention to detailed reports on the recruits from multiple sources. Information changes quickly and some sources are inherently more valuable than others. It's possible that Derrick Brown ends up at Georgia, but certainly the 100% of CB predictions overestimates the probability and most of those predictions are very old and simply based on the fact that he's from Georgia.

I can 100% assure you that Kirby and UGA is interested in DB. They have guys all over this kid the last two weeks.

“I mean, (I like) just the whole school itself,” Brown said Saturday following his East team’s 37-9 loss to the West in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl at the Alamodome. “When I went up there, I had a good visit. My parents enjoyed it when I was there, so that’s a big part of my reasoning why I liked it at Tennessee.”

“Just the academic program and the coaching staff,” said Brown, who’s ranked the nation’s No. 8 overall prospect and No. 3 defensive tackle in the 247Sports Composite for the 2016 class. “I love the coaching staff.”

Gillespie and Coach Jancek. But, unfortunately, he’s gone now,” Brown said, referring to Jancek. “But I’ve still got a bond with Coach Gillespie. “Coach Jones is cool. I like Coach Jones a lot.”

“I feel like I can fit in and come in and play with (freshman defensive tackle Kahlil (McKenzie) and all them, and just go in and try to make an early impact,” Brown said.

He already has taken official visits to Mississippi State and Alabama. He said Tennessee is getting his final visit because “my mom just set it up that way.”

Good to have mom on our side.
