247i never really lost complete contact with (tennessee), but i guess you could say it kind of picked back up right around (richts firing), laguins said.
they said they like my speed. I can run. They like how physical i am, how versatile i am, where you can line me up on third downs, put my hand down on the ground and rush or back me off the ball and bring me through an a-gap, or put me at outside backer and (have me) cover the slot. They really like that about me.
laguins said hes still high on tennessee for multiple reasons, and hes looking forward to taking another look at the vols next month.
the game-day atmosphere (at tennessee) was pretty nice, and then their facilities were pretty nice and top-notch, he said. their program is trying to start something new up there.
I miss the days of the 4-3 with a dominating LB corps. I know the games changed, and more defensive formations are needed, but our LBs used to own. I loved the trio of Al, Raynoch, and EMo.
I think Laguins is keeping UGA in the mix in case they come around. I don't think he's talked to them that much recently and he talked a lot about wanting to be wanted and I don't think he's getting that vibe with UGA right now.
Jaleel Laguins was very fond of Jancek and the former Vol defensive coordinator had built a fairly strong relationship with him, especially in the last few weeks. It will be interesting to see how things shake out for Laguins moving forward, but Tennessee has been a very real player there since Mark Richt's ouster at UGA.
