'16 GA OLB Jaleel Laguins

He eliminated Tennessee per VQ. Seems pretty upset Jancek is gone.

I felt after reading the update on him a week or so he was all uga, he just wanted the new coaching staff to call him a little more often. Wasn't feeling the love. Once the staff was all hired and they started calling the commitments more he would be fine.

So he doesn't want to be coached by a better and more proven coach? Makes sense. Have fun with the pups.

probably would have been a good get but lb is a position where we're not hurting.

He took an OV to UF this weekend and 247 said the feeling is he sticks with Ga. Set to visit Bama next weekend.

Why would he only have two years of eligibility if he’s from the 16 class and redshirted last year? Sit out one and he should have three.

Didn't read that article but read somewhere else's he prob would go juco this yr and be available to sign in this upcoming class and have 2 yrs left at a D1. So maybe a misprint in the article you read.

Dawg fans think he goes juco then comes here if Pruitt/Sherrer want him. They really liked him coming out of HS. Those fans seem to like the kid and not really sure why he didn't get the playing time with his ability

Well he redshirted...so there’s that. Still, if he PLAYS a season at JUCO he would have three seasons remaining (see Alvin Kamara), he’s a redshirt FRESHMAN currently. Such is the fallout of having a LOADED #1 class. The fact that they snapped up Walker AND Reese necessitated some gitshirts. Hopefully 2019 recruits take note. “Don’t be afraid to compete” is a recruiting pitch. :hmm:

If he was a 16 recruit then he redshirted in 16 and just didn't play in 17 so it counted a year of eligibility I think. So if he plays juco this year he will have 2 left. At least I'm pretty sure that's how it played out.

Said he redshirted in 17, so that threw me off. Some reason I assumed that was his freshman year. Gets the dumbs sometimes...my bad. :hi:

Good kid and good family. He was recruited over though. As I recall, UGA Pruitt was higher on him than Bama Kirby during the 2016 cycle...prior to all the coaching changes. He'll be a good pickup for someone.

Ok. Knew there was a perfectly unbiased explanation. :)

Yeah no worries. I didn't read the article which probably helped with my maths. haha

Oh I see what happened. He actually played six games in 16 then redshirted 17 so he did it backwards.
