I wouldn't count out Gillespie in recruiting against any running backs coach in the country. Coach G has a gift of connecting with his players and pushes them hard. Plus he can recruit. I'm no insider, but If he is coming here to want to work out with Gillespie, then I'm liking our chances.

I have a really good feeling about his guy and Hardman. I know recruits just say what people want to hear all the time, but these two seem to really really like the staff and school.

These coaches alma maters really test me sometimes... I really like having coach G on staff, but with him being a Gator, I'm not sure if I should say that.

Lol! You do know that he turned down a job offer at his alma mater to stay at TN, right?

I can tell you we are not going after this kid very hard...In addition UGA has cooled off on him as well.

We will see what happens....don't see him at TN though at this point unless we put a significant push in.

Why would uga back off on top 3 back in ga? Is auburn making an offer that noone can match maybe?

Well, if we're not pushing for this guy then who are we pushing for at this point? I thought Holyfield was our #1 unless Kareem Walker pulled a 180.

This information is about two weeks old. The person handling his recruitment attended a dinner in Atlanta with some folks from UGA and after that the general sense was that UGA was not going very hard after him. That same person informed me that TN (again two weeks ago) had not been going after him very hard. When i get back to Atlanta tonight i can easily find out where this kid is....I will report back.
