Four options now:

-Keep recruiting the guys who don't want to come here (meh)
-Try to get a graduate transfer or two
-Hit up the JUCO ranks and find another Pearson/Weatherd/George under the radar kid
-Wait and hope someone blows up their senior season

I hear there may be a JUCO RB out of Hutchinson that we may have once been interested in... Already has ties to the Vols if I'm not mistaken... :)

The problem with the highlighted, is that most of our backs could end up in the same class. A JUCO would be a JR, just like Hurd and Kamara would be.

Better than nothing, I suppose. Couldn't they also get a guy with just a single year of JUCO? Isn't that the case with Martin?

RB is a position where freshmen can make a big, big impact, so as long as we can "survive" through 2016 with just Hurd, Kamara, and a few other guys who may not be elite, we can take 2-3 in 2017 and be okay. Still not ideal, though.

Gonna be interesting to see what happens if ut wins 9 or 10 this year...I think recruiting will pick up then

I don't think it looks like we'll be able to bring in an elite RB this year. Hopefully we can pull a top 10-12 guy like Carlin Fils-Aime at least. I'm starting to think that getting him and maybe Jaqua Daniels would be a win for us in RB recruiting at this point.

We have got to get an elite RB in the 2017 class if we want to be competing for championships by then though.

That's a good point, but it would be nice to get a RB locked up soon. It seems like almost all of the top 10-12 backs have already made their decisions. And while recruiting coups do happen, it would be nice to not have to count on one (or two for that matter). We're not gonna be the only ones hounding committed kids all the way to signing day.
