Sources told GoVols247 on Wednesday that Tennessee appears to be in the driver’s seat for the Top247 senior athlete from Warner Robins (Ga.) High School coming off his visit with the Vols, and he could be ready to announce his decision as early as Thursday after receiving an in-home visit Wednesday from Tennessee wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni.

High School coming off his visit with the Vols, and he could be ready to announce his decision as early as Thursday after receiving an in-home visit Wednesday from Tennessee wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni.

While sources close to Callaway’s recruitment believed he could be ready to commit to the Vols on Wednesday, one source indicated Wednesday night that Callaway — who has been one of UT’s top wide-receiver targets for months — now is hoping to announce his decision during a ceremony Thursday at his school.

If Callaway follows through on making his college choice known Thursday, Tennessee is believed to be the clear favorite to land him. He previously had scheduled official visits to Mississippi State this weekend and Ole Miss next weekend, but sources said Wednesday that Callaway is not likely to take either visit if he chooses the Vols this week.
