'16 JUCO WR Jeff George (UT commit 6/6/15)

“they’d been talking to me, but i just didn’t know they were going to offer me like that. It definitely surprised me,” said george, who received his first offer from arkansas state less than a month earlier.

“it was crazy. It just left me speechless.”

george said he’s already somewhat familiar with tennessee.

“my dad, he was a tennessee fan growing up, so he used to always talk about them a lot,” he said. “i know about the history they have and all the wide receivers that came through there. I know they’ve got one of the biggest stadiums in the nation — it holds, like, 100-something-thousand — and i know they’re really on the come-up right now. They just beat iowa in that bowl game, and they’re looking pretty good for the next couple years.”

Idk the hudl didn't wow me like Von's a couple years ago. Seems like the top target for a juco should have more than 4 tds. I'm not an expert though admittedly, flame away.

It's not so much his production which is less but it's hard to find 6'6" and 4.4 speed in the same guy. If he is willing to learn and add some weight then he would be a nice red zone threat at least. Azzani would get him into form to be able and play at a high level.

This guy is like a slimmer version of Darren Waller out of GA Tech, without the off the field issues hopefully.

He'll be an excellent possession receiver IMO, but he's also got the speed to go deep as well. He runs good routes, uses his body/size well, makes great adjustments, high points the ball, and has good hands. A WR who catches a lot of balls and consistently moves the chains is just as important as the guy who scores a lot IMO.

Different kind of players. This would be more comparable to a Croom type but not as thick and more athletic

Idk what's not to like in his film anyway. I was impressed. Dude should blow up soon...

It's probably because it's not as flashy as smaller WRs that juke everyone in highlights. So it may not stand out to some. I don't question this staff with WRs. It's pretty clear they know them when they see them

We were able to catch up with junior college wide receiver Jeff George on Thursday and he told Volquest that he will be making two visits to Tennessee within the next three weeks.

George said he'll be in Knoxville next week on May 28 and plans to be back on June 5 for another visit. If he makes both visits, which he said are scheduled to be unofficials, it would be hard not to consider Tennessee the team to beat there.

I think he is our next commit.

Yeah, I thought Austin Mack was going to be, but he appears to be heading to Ohio St..

Does Jeff George project at TE though with his height? Obviously he would have to put on some weight, but just wondered.
