'16 KS DT Alexis Johnson (UT commit 6/16/15)

Nobody is saying the offense wasnt stalling or there weren't questionable decisions, just that Curt wouldve made the difference in a play or two and we would've overcame all of that. It isn't one or the other. You can go ahead and question Butch. Admitting that Curt wouldve made the difference in a couple of games doesn't negate your argument.

Either way, we had more than enough on the field to win.

Because we were still getting good pressure regardless. That wasn't even close to the reason we lost that game. Maybe the 30th reason

We were getting pressure just couldn't bring him down. Curt would've made a difference.

Are you guys saying that you weren't frustrated during the game when Houdini, i mean Mayfield, kept escaping??

You think Maggitt may have..you know actually..tackled Mayfield? No? Why do you refuse to acknowledge that losing probably our best player in the front 7(considering Barnett was banged up) made a huge difference in those games?

It's on down the List

I wasn't going to reply again to you, but Butch called a TO and made me reconsider

Not one person is saying that.

Actually people are saying the defense was fine. And I guarantee you they were all freaking out when Mayfield was running around.

Like i said, one can still hold onto their dislike of coaches or coaching decisions and still have enough common sense to realize that a player as good as Maggitt would've made a difference. We could have won in spite of coaching deficiencies. For the record i was very frustrated with the coaching staff at times during the season, esp offensive coaches.

Anytime you lose a first team All SEC player, there is an impact. Silly arguments if you don't agree...would the games have been different, who knows? Was there an impact, absolutely.

Again, pressure wasn't an issue. Could Maggitt have tackled him? Yes. Could he have gotten fooled like everyone else? Yes. The point is Baker should have never had the ball to do that to us to begin with. Offensive strategy was the result of that. Maggitt being out shouldn't have mattered

Would have made a difference in spite of offensive strategy. 2000 Ravens offense stunk but they won the super bowl in spite of it. By your thinking taking Ray Lewis off that D wouldn't have mattered.

The original point was that Maggit would've made a difference in spite of everything else that went wrong. That's what great players do.

It's easier just to blame the offensive coaching decisions.. You know for the defense giving up a ton of points.

Rofl..I would InVol, but I just now got a job, after 4 months of looking in this wastehowling wilderness of employment opportunity known as Harlan county...besides I think a few of these guys would rather I not post at all...start work Monday praise the Lord. I got a full time job with great benefits (miracle) U promise I will get a new phone as soon as I can afford it. Just for you..;)

I agree to a point Wick. Ellis dropping a td didn't help. I'm sure that is the coaches fault too.

He's definitely helped but Ethan Wolf should be the guy targeted on a play like that just my opinion. Severely underutilized. Not saying he would of made the catch but he catches pretty much anything his way.

I agree, but for me it's just one play. I believe having him in the game on the 4th and 14 play would have put UT in the SECCG. If you don't believe me, think back to the SC game last year when he and Barnett put that game away in OT with back to back sacks.

Was CM being out the reason we lost the FLA game? Absolutely not, but that wasn't the question as I saw it. Question was, could CM being in the game have made a difference? We can't know for sure, but based on what we know about CM and how his absence affected Barnett, I am going to say yes.

Good Post

PS - my thoughts exactly!
