'16 KS DT Alexis Johnson (UT commit 6/16/15)

I'm being simplistic? Come on. You're really saying that losing Maggitt played no role in losing those 2 games? That's crazy.

Losing Maggitt (and having a banged up half-speed Barnett) isn't the reason we lost to OU and UF, but Chubb being out with an injury is 100% the reason we beat UGA.

VN logic.

Nice edit there. And nobody here thinks I'm a sunshine pumper but you.

I didn't wanna get in a back and forth.

I'm not accusing you of being a sunshine pumper. Haven't seen enough of your post to know. You're reaching half the time in your crusade against negavols.

28-7

Fourth quarter scoring in both games combined along with questionable decision making played a bigger part..

It's worse for 2nd half...

Ok then. I don't really use the term negavol much. Don't think you guys are negavols. I do believe you hate Butch and want him fired soon as possible. Hence the term negabutch. The only agenda I have is for stability. I believe jumping back into the chaos of coaching change, after the last few years we have suffered, and considering the marked steady improvement in the team...is stupidity of the highest order.

I'm not a big fan.

You're still reaching.

Last I checked AV, the offense isn't responsible for giving up those points. That would be the defense. Which was weakened by the loss of Maggitt. Those teams had to throw to come back, Arguably our best pass rusher at the time was unavailable down the stretch when those teams were throwing the ball all over the field...huge reason we gave up points.

You seriously don't believe Maggitt in the game against Okie and UF would have made the difference? Two plays....that is it..TWO freakin plays and we are 10-2. That is no reach with a player of Curts ability.

I agree, but for me it's just one play. I believe having him in the game on the 4th and 14 play would have put UT in the SECCG. If you don't believe me, think back to the SC game last year when he and Barnett put that game away in OT with back to back sacks.

Was CM being out the reason we lost the FLA game? Absoulutely not, but that wasn't the question as I saw it. Question was, could CM being in the game have made a difference? We can't know for sure, but based on what we know about CM and how his absence affected Barnett, I am going to say yes.

Our offense kept giving the ball back after continuously stalling and there were some fairly questionable decisions.

Last time I checked both games were dominated for the first 3 quarters... Both sides of the ball.. By us

Every coach has questionable decisions. The offense stalling out a lot didn't help, but the defense just needed a little more pressure down the stretch.

That's bullcrap chavis..I've been here long enough to remember you before you became so negative. You used to be fair. You've changed. You were a great poster.

You think Maggitt may have..you know actually..tackled Mayfield? No? Why do you refuse to acknowledge that losing probably our best player in the front 7(considering Barnett was banged up) made a huge difference in those games?

Because we were still getting good pressure regardless. That wasn't even close to the reason we lost that game. Maybe the 30th reason

Nobody is saying the offense wasnt stalling or there weren't questionable decisions, just that Curt wouldve made the difference in a play or two and we would've overcame all of that. It isn't one or the other. You can go ahead and question Butch. Admitting that Curt wouldve made the difference in a couple of games doesn't negate your argument.

It did Ulysses. They're just offering a counter. You're all right. I do however agree that losing Maggitt cost us Oklahoma and Florida.

Well nevermind then. Nothing we say is going to change the others mind...for the record I didn't call anybody a Negavol..I called them a negabutch...big difference.
