'16 LA WR Corey Henderson (UT commit 3/30/15)

I imagine as good as anybody else's mystery catching ability when they drop the ball

What? I was there and he had possession of the ball for exactly 1/1000th of a second. That's a legal catch for a Florida receiver when playing Tennessee according to a former Vandy player that's officiating the football game. One of the SEC's finest.

I don't think jones was really quick either. He ran really good routes and had solid hands.

This sums it up IMO. Jones was a solid player for us. He wasn't a burner by any means though. If we want to compare Henderson to a former reciever, Moore would be my pick. Solid speed, and he can play outside or in the slot.

Moore is a much better comparison... I didn't even think of him for some reason. Thanks :hi:

"I want to prove that I can be more than just a screen guy. Most people label me as (saying) 'He's the guy who can catch screen and take it for a big play,'" Henderson told VolQuest.com. "I want to prove that I can stretch the field on go routes and posts. To show I'm good on other routes than just screens.

"I've been working hard, and I'm trying to get them to stretch the offense down the field to show what I can do."

"Mainly I've been really trying to finish at the end of my routes," said Henderson, who anticipates a June return trip to Rocky Top and intends to bring his friend and recent recipient of a Vols' offer, , with him. "I feel my strength is being explosive toward the end of my routes and breaking out and trying to speed out of my cuts, stop on a dime. Sometimes find myself stumbling at end of my routes. Top of my routes.

Looks like Andraez Williams out of Shreveport, LA is the teammate he's looking to bring with him. Dude's a 4*, 6ft2. corner. Henderson said Williams "wants to visit up there bad", later saying "potential future teammate".

I actually just started a thread for Williams. Read on 247 that Gillespie visited Shreveport, LA this weekend and offered Williams.

I think Rivals has still yet to evaluate this kid.

Really good get by our staff. Good hands and dynamic with the football.
I really like this kid as well. You have been on the Marshall hype train for a while now. Just got one question who do you like better between the 2.

Two different players imo. Henderson is a guy that can take the lid off of a defense. Yet, he is still shifty in that he catch a short pass and make a long gain. So he's not just a straight line runner. He's got great balance and feet.

Marshall actually might play DB. I want to see him at WR first, because he has good hands and pure play-making ability.

To answer your question, I like Marshall better. Right now Marshall is my favorite recruit. He plays with an edge and comes from a good program. Not to mention he is a strong runner. He can shake but also run over you if you don't have your feet under you when you come to tackle him.

We have some talented WR's already on campus, but not enough of them play with an edge. I beleive Marshall can help with that.

Preston Williams plays tough too. He'll be our best WR once by his Sophomore season.

sorry about the rant. But I like Henderson as well.
