'16 MS CB Nigel Knott

Well then haha... wassnt there some talk of safety early on? Or am I totally mixed up?

I've seen some say that Knott may end up being more of a NB/Safety type of player (comparable to the Honey Badger). His game is mostly based off of astounding instincts and fee for the game. Whereas Osbourne is more of a true cover corner with the measurables you look for.

Both are great prospects.

At Tennessee Knott will be a CB. An outstanding one at that. The safety spots will be manned by Berry and TKjr with Warrior/Griffin providing real depth. :)

"I think they have led for Knott for a good bit. Corley had a great trip here. I think Michigan State and Tennessee at the top. This week helped Tennessee."

Knott is the best ocver corner in the class imo. 4.4 speed, 40+ inch vertical (shows explosive ability) and scouts have been raving about how he is able to flip his hips as good as anyone they have seen. Plus i love his instincts on film.

At FSU's camp he was touted as easily the best corner at their entire camp, and they said he may have been lb for lb the best athlete at their camps.

I may have missed it somewhere in the thread. But why are ole miss and/ or state not expected to land him? I thought that typically they don't allow many of their elite prospects leave the state. *obligatory comment about money/dirty recruiting*

Knott, Osborne, Warrior and Williams would be one heck of a DB haul... Also possible Tadarrayl ends up DB at some point if WR doesn't work out and Auburn/Bama were after him as a DB

Freeze is probably doing a better job of keeping the elite talent in state, but Bama has pulled a number of elite players from MS in the past. Deshea Townsend, who played db for Bama and the Steelers, played at South Panola which is a HS program with a national reputation. I think there have been some others from the same HS that also went to Bama, but can't think of their names right now. Most recent 4* player I can think of is Terry Conner who is playing at OM, so they may be turning the momentum some. Seems like I read somewhere that N. Knott has family ties to TN that could be helping us.

I am still amazed that this kid has the highest vertical in the nation @ 44". I think it may be the highest vertical in the last few years, to be honest. Dont quote me on that.

I wish LSU would keep their elite guys at home and away from Bama. They lost 2 5 stars to them in the last 4 years.
