'16 NC CB Marquill Osborne (UT commit 9/6/14)

Took an OV to OSU this weekend.

"Just talked to someone close to the Osborne family and they tell me he is still a strong commitment to Tennessee. They are heading home from OSU as we speak."

Possible day 1 starter, especially if Sutton declares. Moseley needs to get better in a hurry. Gaulden will be the nickel. Hopefully Martin figures it ou soon. Martin + Osborne is a nice tandem.

Moseley is grass. Abernathy will overtake him. Martin is the heir to Sutton's spot as the No.1.

I did see on the ESPN ticker that Sutton was the 5th rated corner back if he chose to come out. I don't know where that would place him in the draft.

None of these projections mean squat. Your body of work and the combine/personal workouts on the other hand?

Like you would know. I bet you couldn't break 7 seconds in the 40. Did you stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night or something?

Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer prior to kickoff.

"We talked briefly," Osborne said. "He asked me if I wanted to be the best and play on a winning team. He told me he knew the answer but he didn't want me to tell him then. He told me to go home and think about it first."

Osborne said he remains "solid" with Tennessee.

He plans to take his Tennessee official visit in December, likely in the first weekend of that month, but the date has been finalized yet.

It's going to be near impossible for anyone to beat the atmosphere our kids have seen in attendance of the OK and UGA games. It doesn't hurt its clear he can compete for starting role next year as freshman.

That's the dumbest pick-up line I've ever heard.

If you already know the answer, why would you tell me to go home and think about it first. Tells me 'ol Urban had no clue what to say to the young man and just pulled something out his ass.

Urban knows how to put pressure on kids. I would bet there's some kids who have played for him and don't even know how or why they ended up there.

I don't doubt that at all.

Actually, now that I think about it, Marquill could have answered him right then and there without tipping his hand one way or the other.

He should have simply said...."Yes sir, I do want to be the best, and any team that finishes 7-6 or better would be a winning team"
