OVERALL TRAITS
Size-Strength-Speed
Leaner frame but has some length to it and range to cover ground. Will benefit from added strength and size but shows he is effective in tight coverage is wiry strong. Plays and pursues fast and shows good top-end speed.
Instincts/Recognition
One of the more instinctive corners in this class. Really understands leverage and how to position himself to make plays in coverage. Shows good instincts around the ball and recognition skills in both man and zone coverage. Has the ability to read receivers and feel routes develop in man and is equally adept at reading the QB in zone schemes.
Coverage Skills
Does a very good job mirroring receivers in and out of their breaks and decreasing separation. Recovers quick with inside positioning. Will get high in his pedal which hinders a clean transition at times but he's sharp out of his cuts with very good burst on the ball. Has great feet but perhaps even better anticipation skills of routes and consistently times his break to arrive with the ball. If he doesn't undercut routes he limits RAC and will uncoil a pop on contact.
Run Support
Comes up on the perimeter run support and is active on the ball. However, not yet a physical presence in run support and looks more for the low cut tackle than the secure wrap up and drive through.
Bottom Line
Osborne is a savvy corner with terrific feet and instincts. Lacks elite speed but is athletic and can recover. Potentially an under the radar national prospect.
