'16 NC OG Landon Dickerson

Please elaborate on how you know the staff's priorities.

You don't have to be an insider to know the staff hasn't fought their way back in with a highly coveted, #1 ranked recruit at his position, at a position of need, on the last weekend before nsd that we had once led for and lost favor with, from a hot bed recruiting state just to tell him "no thanks we don't have room". That being said, we probably won't get him.

Robertson
Weisman
Jones
Boulware
Mosley
Sanders
Raulerson
Possibly Kendrick

vs.

Hall
Richmond
Kendrick
Coleman Thomas bumps outside
And then what? Jones or Boulware?
And if things get really bad, Blair

I think we've got a solid 6 guys at Guard, we're young and talented at tackle and Richmond and Hall have the potential to hold it down for 3 more years, but bringing in 3 Ts is a huge boost this cycle to a position that needs it.

Dickerson seems like an elite G prospect. If the coaches feel confident in Boulware and Jones stepping in for Weisman and Robertson then I think you can look for a G in the next cycle.

We don't know where he is on the staff's board. It's that simple.

Regarding the numbers, I really think that this is a year where "take them now, work the numbers out later" applies. Unlike the last three cycles, we are not oversigning, so the only number that Butch has to worry about is 85 scholarships by this summer. Lots and lots of ways taking 5 now to finish our class can be worked out between now and then. If Dickerson wants in now, he is in, IMO.

I think it's hilarious that you make such definitive statements. Are you on the coaching staff? Do you watch every practice? Do you get daily reports from the S&C coach on how they're doing in the weight room? Given how much you post, I highly doubt it. If your own evaluation skills are so great, how come you're not on staff somewhere? The numbers wall is very real. If we run out of room, we run out of room. That said, only the staff know for sure the numbers they are dealing with, but if we hit that wall, Dickerson could very well be passed on.

Rivals has him 43. Oh my, those rivals guy have him at 43. The world is over and he is better than any guard on our roster because again......Rivals has him at 43.

Oh my goodness. CPF got lazy and got fired because he started looking at who was number 43 on Rivals. Evaluate film and not recruiting services if you want to do well and win.

No but he stayed in a Motel 6 Express once.

We literally created our own in house recruiting service staffed by industry professionals instead of journalists. There should never ever be a question as to who is better at evaluating talent.

If you have four spots, and Warrior (1), Brown (2), KonGBO (3), and Byrd (4) all want in...

FANTASTIC!! You have room for all of them.

Math. It works.

It is my understanding that if Pope and Brooks are on official visits, we only have 3 spots left.

Having said that, Butch always seems t have a contingency plan. We will see how this shakes out. But, I have a feeling some people on here are going to be upset if we have to tell someone no.

There are 4. Stewart is not coming, that spot is open.

If Dickerson wants a spot, he's got it. CBJ will find a spot. Nobody turns away a talent like him. CBJ and the staff have us in the mix for so many talented recruits right now. They are really working hard for the program.

Yeah, I don't get that. 25 Scholarships-3 2015 Blueshirts-Stewart=21 Scholarships. We have 4 spots left. If Stewart is not coming back this year, we have 5 spots available.

North not coming back, wouldn't that open an additional spot? Or has that already been accounted for?

Also if Young has has a potential career ending injury, he could be placed on medical redshirt, thus opening another spot?

North only counts toward the 85 not the 25. Half our team could transfer, get kicked out, graduate, or enter the draft and you're only allowed 25 signees in a given class, not counting back counts and blue/grayshirts (which forward count).

Opens up a spot on the 85 man roster (same as North). That number resets after Spring tho...neither affects the numbers in THIS class.

I think there are 4 counters from last year: Lovingood, Perry, RDAIV, and Joe Young. If the right ones want in by Wednesday and Stewart still wants in, I bet they count him in the 2017 class. That would be 4 spots. Only way I can see 5 is if we part ways with a commit or maybe RDAIV somehow didn't count as a graduate transfer.

Ok, so 4 EEs, 17 current commits, and 4 spots available for the max number of 25.

No back counts from last year? Thought Perry was a blue shirt counting towards this class.
