'16 NC QB Austin Kendall (former UT commit)

Auburn has cooled on Gaines big-time. The "hot" name right now is Woody Barrett, but I'm not sure if they'd let him commit early at this point. Barrett is supposed to be visiting this weekend, do they take his commitment if he were to want to commit this weekend? The Pass situation is a mess; the kid is "mad" that Auburn was 'late' offering him and at this point I doubt he comes to Auburn even though that would be the most logical choice for him schematically. Pass comes from Carver Columbus which has had an alarming amount of top recruits dismissed from numerous schools.

Auburn's top targets were Malik Henry (FSU) and Shea Patterson (Ole Miss). They've been recruiting Kendall hard but the early offer never came for him, at which point he eventually jumped on Tennessee's offer. They are also recruiting Dwayne Haskins who is supposed to visit soon, but that seems like a longshot. The question right now is whether or not they push hard for someone like Barrett, or if they'd prefer say Kendall to Barrett.

Thanks. Didn't know the situation that well.

Yeah bro; can't wait to see Carl Lawson suit up for Tennessee this upcoming season. You know, the prediction made by your little homer websites hehehe. His personal trainer at the YMCA said he was coming 100%, right?

Can't wait for Preston Williams to suit up for Auburn this year...

....oh wait, he only went there to meet his weed dealer.

Yep. It was apparently the Barn assistant coach that walked into his locked hotel room and lit one up with him. (according to the "homer" AU writers)
:)

It's not a done deal anywhere but the Auburn guy is making it seem like he's all Auburn when he's not. UK leads for him.

I never said he was "all Auburn", I said that I'd be surprised if Auburn pushed for him and he chose Kentucky over Auburn. I know for a fact that he has high interest in Auburn.

...except that no one from Auburn was stating that Williams was actually likely to flip even before he was asked to leave. Enjoy Da'Rick Rogers 2.0; kid's a total headcase.

Congrats, I now have three people on ignore. Hopefully others will do also so I don't have to read yours as quotes.

None of UT's paysite analysts stated UT lead for Lawson as you alluded to.

Btw, Barnett is on pace to crush Lawson's numbers. We'll be just fine without him.

...and as an AU fan, you're in no place to accuse other schools of taking headcases. You're starting QB got busted for possession before the season started.

As long as he doesn't get into that synthetic weed like those felons down on the Plains who have to have their transcripts rigged just to be eligible he should be fine.

Not really. He always had high interest in Auburn, out of all the big schools recruiting him AU's coaches have had the longest relationship with him. The Auburn offer never came so he jumped on the Tennessee offer, knowing how early QB spots fill up. Now Auburn has jumped back in. It hasn't been determined yet which way AU will go with regards to QB recruiting in this class, but if they push for Kendall I'd be very surprised if he decided to follow his walk-on brother to Kentucky of all places. Elite QB's don't go to bottom-tier SEC schools so that they can play with their walk-on relatives.

Drew Barker says hi, and he didn't even need to play with relatives. Kinda surprised AU took Queen, he's never played CB.

And even after they get busted, NCAA still let him sign there. Might be the reason AU gets a long look from Emmons.

Seriously? They ALL had you worked up about a flip being nearly imminent. Remember his ex-Vol personal trainer who was yapping his mouth about how he was going to flip? That was the supposed super-deep "inside source" LOL.

Weed is inevitable; I'm not knocking the kid for that. But look at his entire recruitment: the fashionista/"model" self portrait, the HS-engagement, the floating around to get his "fiancee" scholarships...then he tops it all off by getting caught getting high in a hotel room on a visit? There are red flags, and everyone who follows Georgia recruiting already knew that.

I don't think his desire to be in modeling is a red flag. Just one of his hobbies. He has a big ego. very few great players don't have that. I also don't knock his character for trying to get his fiancee a scholarship. I applaud him for trying to help someone he loves and cares for. Also you say weed isn't a big deal and then at the end take a shot at him for smoking it. Your arguement is feces.

You mean Constantin Ritzmann former Vol and NFL player? I would imagine he would have his finger on the pulse of a recruit over some twig like homer analyst that happens to guess right once in awhile. I don't recall anyone saying Lawson was headed to Knoxville. But I do believe it was a lot closer than you and your delusional fans are willing to admit. That's neither here nor there though seeing as though we ended up with a better DE in Barnett the following year.

Yes seriously. They never said a flip was immenent. They always knew the last visit went to AU. They never said TN led. You're throwing s**t against the wall. They said TN had some momentum. The fans took it the wrong way. The FANS thought he was going to flip. The insiders on our paysites knew not to count their chickens. National analysts were calling for a flip more so than TN analysts.

Some guy posting as a trainer isn't a reliable source.

Carl Lawson: 20 tackles, 6 sacks, 7.5 TFL

Derek Barnett: 71 tackles, 10 sacks, 20.5 TFL

LOLOLOLOLOL, you really think we're hung up on that guy? DB almost doubled his sacks, almost tripled his TFL and almost QUADRUPLED his tackles.

And it's always a trip when a rival fan rationalizes losing an elite prospect by throwing out the headcase card. Please... Auburn wanted him. You can throw out all the excuses in the world, the fact is Marshall got busted by police, it's on his record. Williams has never been arrested. Its all rumor and speculation.

But whatever helps you sleep at night.
