'16 NC RB BJ Emmons

I've heard graduating may be a problem

He has summer school and 3 semesters of classes to become eligible. From what I hear, he is working hard in his academics. Not real hard to graduate in the state of NC-that may be why there are so many EE's from the state. BJ will not be an EE but he can become eligible to play if he keeps up his hard work.

If he wants to play big time college football he needs to learn to buckle down. I hope he does for his own sake and then becomes a VOL and destroys the rest of the SEC.

That's great to hear...hopefully he gets things in order and becomes a vol

247Composite Ranking: Nation’s 117th overall prospect
The Skinny:

There is two ways to look at Emmons in rankings. Considering at this time we consider him a junior college prospect more than likely so his ranking is now on the fore front. However just watching his tape he is big time north/south runner that is hard to bring down. We will continue to monitor his academic situation and his ranking is no where near done at this time. Love the fact he runs through a lot of arm tackles. That is something that gets undervalued, but that is a big difference from a 3 yard gain to a 8 yard gain.

Article from last month...I feel like this time he is headed to juco after high school. Source I spoke with told me he has some stuff you can not retake he didnt do well on early on in high school with new 2016 rules.-247

Let's hope he pulls a Gavin Bryant. Very few believed he would recover enough academically to make it in, yet, he did.

FWIW, Fortenberry said Emmons has "major" grade concerns. Even though he's committed to UGA, they've stopped recruiting him.

Hopefully, the coaches invest the time into him now, and he is a 5* stud coming out of JUCO in a couple of years, during our new era of dominance.

Hopefully he can finish strong and qualify, if not, we should help place him in the same C.C. that Patterson & Kamara attended.

We need to make that place "our" JUCO :)

Not a matter of what he does going forward, matter of what has already been done that he cannot retake. Also, the new 2016 academic rules are not helping his case.

If he ends up at Uga, he can always live in their indoor practice facility but it doesn't have enough room for a roommate. :(
