With Emmons, he told me it's basically Georgia and Tennessee right now, but I'm not sure how committed UGA is to him honestly. There are some grade things there that are a concern, but he very much still likes Tennessee. He looks like an upperclassmen and I'm interested to see how he runs today.
Butch isn't known for going after high-risk guys, but he fact that he's going after Emmons should tell you something about how talented the guy really is. IMO he's worth the risk provided he has his academics in order.
I'm all for Butch taking some risk in recruiting but I'm not sure RB in 2016 is a good idea. I'll trust him though. He's got a lot of equity built up.
It also tells you that he isn't a complete list cause academically. His issues can be overcome.
Not really. Their will be a lot of surprised recruits this year. The days of 'making up' or finishing strong are gone. HS counselors and HS head coaches are failing to let the kids know the new rules. Prior to your SR season, 10 core classes have to be completed which means you can't make up classes you failed prior to your SR season. These rules have been coming and this class knew about them in their freshman year.

Yep. Interview put up today with Emmons.
"It's kind of been confusing, because I haven't reached out to anybody," Emmons said. "They kind of sort of reached out to me, but I don't know. I've just been kind of quiet right now, and I haven't really talked to any of the staff lately."
And how does recently running backs coach Thomas Brown feel about the four-star prospect? Emmons would be interested in knowing for himself.
"There has been none," Emmons said of communication with Brown.
As for how the situation sits with 5-foot-11, 210 pound runner, he's optimistic that it'll be a different tune in the near future.
"I'm still committed as of now," Emmons said. "I haven't talked to anybody, but, hopefully, that'll change sometime soon. I think it's coming."
What would compel the nation's No. 176 player overall to stick around and wait to hear?
"It was love at first sight," Emmons said. "I came, watched a game, saw the way they ran the ball, and watched how the offense got after it. I thought 'That's something I want to be a part of.' That's really what hooked me in, and I was in there since then."
This is understandably uncharted territory for the rising senior, and, though he's unclear as to how to navigate going forward, Emmons hopes to return to see his committed school soon.
"No, (I don't know what do)," Emmons said. "I'm just probably not going to make any more decisions until next February. You'll catch me in Athens sometime."
