I can't be the only one that has some reservations about "wanting" this kid as a Vol as much as he verbally slobbers all over UGA.

Who has said TN is going hard after him? Let me help, no one. From the sounds of the recruiting sites, no one is going hard after him. Read the interview that ZDT put up. Tells a lot about his situation not just with Ga. Put any school in the place of Ga. Far be it that a kid exaggerate. As far as the new rules, I basically gave you cliff notes but go ahead and educate yourself and the read the pages of drivel from the NCAA site. NCAA can't even get out of their own way.

Also, don't be surprised if he does commit elsewhere, he wants the attention. Doesn't mean he is a take and absolutely doesn't mean he can make it in this class. Feel bad for the kid, his coaches and counselors should have educated him but ultimately it's still him that didn't make the grades.

if he can qualify vols want. kids a beast andxee are recruiting hard. and there is a chance he can get it done from whats been said. he just has to take care of business.

Considering our current predicament at the position, I would be nervous if we had to wait until close to NSD to see if he would be able to qualify. That said I have no idea if his grade situation is as dire as it has been portrayed.

Hmm...considering the source, those are words that scream he's a silent to the Vols, as long as he qualifies. Do you all remember ebj being so excited a few weeks back and mentioning something about Gillespie? I'm wondering if we gave him the plan to get qualified, and he gave us a commitment as long as long as he holds up his end with the grades.

From my understanding there is a plan in place. It's up to BJ now...I hope it works out. This kid is fun to watch.

Guys it's a long time till signing day. Tennessee coaches aren't visiting Freedom to see the Catawba River. He's dynamic, some ways he reminds me of Jamaal. Great burst and acceleration, and he'll hit you too. There is interest from both sides. We were his first big time offer and his dad pulled for the Vols. He's got work to do, for sure.
I really believe he's unsure about how he would fit in our offense, and this season should help him see the possibilities. Lastly, Neyland Stadium makes a great impression, along with our fans.

All he needs to do is watch Hurd...if Jalen can be used effectively in this offense, then BJ can, too.
