With the new rules limiting classes to 25 max and effectively eliminating the blue shirt option, it is going to become much tougher for us to take Emmons, if he is going to be a 2018 signee. If he is 2019, it is possible, but it will depend upon the RB roster after 2018.

Very rarely an option for a top player. Unless he's dinged up, he'll want to dominate at that level and isn't planning on needing two seasons after he returns to big time football...much less three.

Shouldn't be. I would rather have a playmaker in Emmons than a marginal WR which is what the remaining spots would used for assuming we landed Horn, Carvin, and a WDE.

Perhaps so, but it is a huge question mark on whether he can get out of JUCO by July 2018. I do not think this staff will keep a scholarship until then for a player that may end up with only 2 years of eligibility left when he gets here. Besides, with Chandler and Dixon on the roster, do we really need one more RB and one less WR, marginal or not?

It's why the coaching staff gets paid the big bucks to make these decisions. IF we lose out on Carvin or Horn, it becomes much more likely that Emmons is in this signing class.

I believe the fact he would only have 2 years of eligibility is irrelevant. Or maybe work in his/our favor if it matters at all. Scholarships are per year so his would only count for 2 years against our number, not 4, and they would likely be his best 2 years since he'd be 2 years older, bigger, stronger with 2 years of college experience.

Neither Chandler or Dixon are proven. Our depth at WR is sufficient enough till 2019 that we don't need to take a marginal WR over a potentially stud RB.

What possible information could be gleaned right after a transfer? Prolly doesn't have a roommate yet!

Emmons can't find a roommate at new school! What does this mean? Do we really want to take the risk on a kid who is a dorm hall pariah?? Does he smell or have night terrors or something?? I mean, what's his deal??? Can Butch survive this????

Man i was hoping to be selected to reach guru status as my ten years hits this week...Freak,did you stop awarding this distinction? Vol hillbilly ruined it for everyone im guessing if thats the case.
