I would agree. But, he's not there yet. I still think Chandler needs 10 touches a game. I thought Kelly was going to be good this year, but damn, not this good. I've never seen a 5'9, 205 pound RB break so many tackles. If Kelly continues to produce like he has so far this year, I expect him to enter the draft and be no later than a 2nd day(1-3 rounds) draft pick. I still want to add Emmons to this next recruiting class, if at all possible.
Ty is ready right now, but he still has to wait his turn. Ty has all the skills to be The Man now. The thing is Kelly deserves and has earned the carries he is getting. I just think that with him being the only reliable True play maker he's had to do wayyyyyyy too much in the 1st couple of games because there isn't much balance in this offense right now because Dormady isn't really reliable. Kelly takes a beating on bad read option plays and unnecessary RPO plays. Scott is not to blame because this isn't his offense. They need to chalk the read option go pro style to benefit Dormady or switch qbs like Fla did with Leak and Tebow. Pride is the best route to defeat and trying to run this offense with Dormady is setting him up for failure.

U nailed here. Especially, Kelly being overworked, 25 carries and 101 yards and playing 'til the last play of the game. Plus, UMass hit him in the backfield almost every run. If, God forbid, something happened to Kelly, I would still feel good about the RB position with Ty being the feature back.

25 carries is overworking him? He got 19 carries last week in Gainesville and we all screamed to give him more carries, especially in the red zone.
I think Kelly, for a smaller back, can handle bigger workloads because he does a good job of absorbing contact, making guys miss, and protecting himself. He runs angry, but not reckless with regard to his health, and he uses his stiffarm to absorb contact.
25 carries against UMASS is overload. He should have had his pads off by halftime with about 6 carries. Instead it was a 4 quarter game. Our players are going to break down again with all the snaps they're taking
Well, sure. The game should have been out of hand early, but generally speaking, that doesn't mean that 25 carries for Kelly is overload.

Yes, against UMass, 25 carries is too much.
As previously stated, obviously no one expected him to play into the second half, let alone get 25 carries against UMASS, but you didn't qualify your point of 25 carries being an "overload" as being opponent specific. You made it sound like 25 carries was too many for Kelly in general, and just a week ago when he had 19 carries, we were screaming for more touches for him. Thus, the point of my comment.
If you want to make your comment opponent specific, then yes, 25 carries against UMASS should have been unnecessary.
