'16 NC RB Robert Washington

On Volnation at 4am defending your Gators. You are a true fan.

Your coach seems like a lazy recruiter from what's been put out there by this kid and CeCe's family.

Lol

Lazy? Yeah going from mid 90s to top 20 class in less than 2 months is lazy then I can't wait for this cycle to really heat up.

Where did CeCe sign? Frog wanted his son at OM bc he took money more than likely. Cece and his mother went against him. Speak on stuff you have knowledge about.

UF wasn't even pushing for the kid. Has nothing to do with "lazy".

This one so really strange. One of the Scout guys said a few days ago that TN and other schools had cooled on him...did not say why

What Bama has done in La is very impressive.

Really hard to get the top guys away from Les.

Lots of good talent ends up at lesser programs. I'll take 3* from EKarr, University Lab, John Curtis, Calvary and St.Augustine any day. West Monroe and Patterson have been really producing kids the last 5 yrsm

Considering those sub par 3 stars will be prime recruits in florida here soon my guess is you better get used to "taking them"!
Jk hg we love ya here!

A few fillers for sure. Hopefully one or two can contribute a few years down the line. Really like the upside of Keivonnis Davis, Desir-Jones and Kylan Johnson.

Four-star running back Robert Washington committed to Florida in an exclusive video interview with Bleacher Report, then announced at a commitment ceremony about 20 minutes after the video went live that he was committing to Syracuse.
Sources informed GatorBait.net that Washington's initial commitment came as a complete surprise to the Florida staff, since communication has diminished between the two over the past few days.
Washington has not yet visited Florida's campus, and the Gators staff has not yet spent an evaluation day seeing Washington, though they considered doing so on Friday. Sources told GatorBait.net that the staff did not use that visit because they did not feel good about their chances for the 5-foot-10, 210-pound back.

Sounds positively Dooleyish! Big Mac throws the towel in a litte early don't he?

HG, you sound like some of our fans a few years ago, when a coach that will not be named used to coach at Tennessee. Your class was a top 20 class because you had a couple of headliners that was always going to Florida...at least that's what you were saying the whole cycle last year.

At this point in time, are you actually a little bit nervous about the hire?

Lol.

Im going to trust Mac and Skipper here. Kid has really good tape imo. Guess the feel good about top 2 targets at RB.

JC and Barton said he was only a take for SU and Mich of his finalist.

Dont see yall recruiting Fla much this cycle..Dooley way of rrecruiting?

Your response is eerily similar to how we defended Dooley's recruiting...when you're beating out William & Mary for a "diamond in the rough prospect", I got a guy who can hook you up with discounted Knob Creek. :hi:

I know I'm beating a dead horse but Dools always threw up top 20 classes and even a top 10 a time or two.

Also, you post like you're Florida's recruiting coordinator. Florida blew it here. Your mods were hinting at this commitment. They text that he committed and then the spinning started.

Did you follow this at all or just going off Twitter? They broke the commit only after BR aired the announce.

ITG and Luke both said leading into Friday nothing pointed to UF. Only one guy CB him to UF and it was the BR guy...why? Bc he had the tape. Lol

According VN Muschamp was Dooley 2.0 now its Mac. Guess Dooley is the measuring stick for VN.

I don't know how successful he'll be at UF but Im certain he'll be better than Muschamp as a game manager and with development. Unlike Dooley and Muschamp he's had success as a Coordinator and HC. Being a top OC at Bama has prepared him for a hellish job like UF. I like the fact he has balls to tell Foley and the BullGators what he wants and to allow him to Captain his ship. UF isnt a place for OJT. Having those 3 years building CSU will make him successful...just how successful Im not sure. I don't see him having a losing season at UF.

Actually, I do not spend my time scouring other teams sites. I am only here. So no, I didn't follow his recruitment after we basically stopped. I did receive the attached from my brother in law who has a rivals subscription to your site. He received this from your Rivals mods.

According to your mods he gave quotes about his commitment to Florida.

Muschamp had a lot of success as a coordinator, but I get your point. As a guy who defended Dooley until I saw he couldn't get it done (as is my policy), I understand the annoyance factor that accompanies having to defend every little mundane development in a new coach's tenure. Each perceived failure is characterized as a harbinger of doom. As a regular on here you bore witness to that plus you had a not so similar experience with Muschamp (cept he had an 11 win season). Not trying to bust your chops on this troll job by a recruit you hadn't even had on campus...but there was a seeming lack of effort on your staff's part that followed the general ole after Sheriron Jones decommitted (I think he fits Mac's offense)...he has a wide base of talent to choose from, so his margin of error is pretty large...but an honest outside perspective is that this staff gives up on or doesn't earnestly recruit a lot of prospects.

From the outside it may seem that way. Hell, a few of the regs on GB hate Mac and this staff based off 6 months on the job and allowing WM to steal a few recruits on NSD. Not me. I see the effort. UF was nowhere to be found for guys like 5*Manuel(FSU lean), 4*s Mullen, Victor and Eli Stove. But this staff has a leading for Victo..tie for Stove and top 3 for Mullen and Manuel. WM couldn't even get them on campus. Manuel is said to be a lock for FSU but left their spring game to spend weekend at UF. Staff has put out more offers in TX than ever before. They offered a top 100 player midweek and he took a 12 hr bus ride to visit this weekend. Maybe the just push for guys they really want.

North Carolina is easier. Lol we get top players with no competition.

Suppose you're right.

FSU and CU recuit NC heavily.

UF every other year or so.

Is Mac even recruiting out of state? So far his 2016 list is rather mundane with 8 commits, all from Florida. At this point in the game, the Cane's will be back in the thick of things long before the gators.

Should we have 17 commits in April like UM?

8 is a solid number heading into Spring Evaluation Period.

Bruce and Bryd are more UF commits than Canes atp.

That class will be totally different come NSD. tOSU and FSU about to poach a few as well. Happens every yr with UM.

Makes you wonder what the heck the administration and boosters are doing with that coach. Miami is a decent coach from dominance. Unreal they stick with Golden.
