5 years just isn't realistic these days. Coaches aren't given that kind of time. We all knew years one and two were going to be rough. Growing pains...take our lumps and see 5-6 wins. Maybe 7 this year. In 2015 we should see major strides taken...8-9 wins. 2016 is the year we will see Tennessee back on top and contending for the SEC and nationally. JMO

With the talent Butch is assembling in Knoxville, I fully expect to be a team firmly in the top 10 in 2016. I doubt anyone in/around the program expects any less either...beyond this season it's gonna be tough to temper expectations. And imo that's not a bad thing...it shows Butch is doing things right and we are on the right track.

The rb class next year will not be close to this years which wss the best ever out of NC imo. And I dont think there will be any backs close to Washington over here. So if we could lock him down early it would be great.

Agreed...Washington is head and shoulders above the rest next year in NC.

And if we get some wins the next couple of years it will help. If we keep going 5-7 and 6-6 we may not garner as much attention.

6-6 with a bowl is not a failure this year. Personally, with some luck, I think we could get to 7 or 8. But, I just want a bowl.

Good question. 1998 was memorable, but Fulmer seemed to get some luck in other years. I was always confident that we would pull games out even against inferior teams.

Most will say that luck happens when opportunity meets preparation (and talent). We haven't had much recently because we have sucked. We are getting better.

We'll it becomes a failure if it's repeated over 2-3 years like the past 2-3. Have all the talent now you have to coach them up. Hope our fan base is patient with this because it can be something special. Trust me 6-6 is what I expect this year. But we can't go from that to expecting 10-2 the very next year.
