Horseface McElwain already has him a QB commit for 2016 lol. He got that 2 star backup high school qb from Texas haha. It was a close race between the Gators and Lamar University.

Read an update from Gators 247 guys... They said the JG stuff was blown way out of proportion. Apparently Florida had been trying for a while by staying in contact but they are doing same with Franks, Haskins and someone else trying to flip a 2016 kid. So their contact was nothing new and has never materialized into anything serious

Should have done that with Sheriron...looking more and more stupid.

I posted before that Mac got feedback from one of the West Coast QB coaches on Jones since he didn't have time to scout him live. The guy spent 26 years coaching QB at various levels. Worked with Mac at Fresno and Oakland. Guess he trust his opinion.

So, what I'm getting out of this is that Rutgers fans are basically in a mid-Guarantano-hating circle jerk, and it manifested itself in the form of a couple delusional predictions that he would sign somewhere else?

Does that about sum it up?

"Didn't have time"? Busy working on his tan? :)

Jarrett needs to understand that he's never going to be the only qb on a staff. You have to have a good one in every recruiting cycle. But Jarrett will
Have a couple of huge advantages over Johnson. Mainly he's going to have had an entire year in the program. Jarrett is also more of a duel threat qb than Johnson which is obviously an advantage in butchs offense. He needs to just ball out like I'm sure he will and he'll have his chance to be the man. I'm psyched he's a vol

i agree and i sure hope he stays, the more good qb the Vols have and the bette competition the better our qb play will be:and just cause Hunter is number 1 in class of 17 and even if Lawrence was to commit doesnt mean they would start or be better than Guarantano. The Vols are in good shape at qb gor the nwxt few years.

Not to take anything away from Hunter Johnson... I think he'll develop into a good SEC caliber QB, but just by watching his and Guarantano's highlight film, Jarrett is going to be King of the Hill during his time here. I haven't seen a reel that impressive from a QB we were in on, for a long time.

I really liked Dobbs HS footage, and what stood out to me was his uncanny ability to avoid the rush and make a play. That is precisely what is making him stand out today. The G-Man has that plus a bigger arm and probably better speed.

It's hard getting through the grind of an entire season without some injuries at the QB position, so if a team is going to compete for Championships, it's going to need at least 2 QB's on the roster who have the ability to succeed in the SEC.

Even if the G-Man and Hunter were in the same class, and we had to pick one, I'd stick with the G-Man all day, every day.

Don't forget that JG has an extra year of film to be studied compared to HJ due to the age difference. Not necessarily disagreeing with you cause you make valid points and Butch's offense seems to fit JG better based on his skill set.

It is nice to have a problem like this when you look back and see what our qb situation was like from 08-10.
