I don't think Jones Redshirts this year. Someone will get injured and miss a little time either Dobbs or Dormady. Jone will have to be ready to go as backup. Nobody Redshirts this year.

Next year JG gets to redshirt because you still have three. He's the only freshman playing in 2017 and hunter Redshirts.

Even if Dobbs (heaven forbid) gets hurt, Jones could still redshirt. Redshirts are not assigned until the end of the season, regardless of what the intent is at the beginning of the season. So possible scenario:

- Dobbs gets injured. Dormady replaces him as starter.
- Jones then becomes the backup, but Dormady is effective and stays healthy. Jones never enters a game.
- Season ends. Even though Jones was the backup, he never plays and reshirts.

Obviously in that scenario if QD also got hurt and SJ plays, no redshirt.

Opinions are fine but if you're going to base an opinion (worry about JG because "insiders" switch CB predictions) partly on a faulty assumption (a dude with chop in his name must be an FSU guy, so now it is both Rutgers and an FSU insider... Except he is actually just another Rutgers dude) then you deserve to be ridiculed.

We are in the midst of the renaissance of Vol football, have the best 4 year stretch of QB recruiting in UT history, and still the chicken littles cluck and cluck.
