Great topic and thread guys! What we do know is that Austin Kendall and Hunter Johnson decided to go elsewhere rather than compete for qb position with Jarrett Guarantano. Right now our future is looking great at qb. It's gonna be Dobbs, Dormady, Guarantano and I think we get Trevor Lawrence because of his ties with CBJ and vols staff. Where I am confused is where does QB Sherion Jones fit in the mix?

Sheriron will be heavy in play, but JG probably has the biggest potential

Depends...he beats out Dormady in the Spring? Right at the top. Doesn't?...nowhere in sight.

Why do people just push Sherion Jones to the side? This kid was a stud coming out of HS and now has been in the program for a year. He will compete for the back up job next year and I won't be surprised if he wins it. He has a great arm and is a very good runner, this offense fits him like a glove

Man I get so tired Of getting hyped over a recruit and then they change their minds. I followed Austin Kendall since elementary school and then Hunter Johnson for a couple of years. All of a sudden "bam!" They go elsewhere. Ughhh

How would this be for poetic justice:

Dobbs, for some minor, short-term reason can't play against Florida. So Sheriron Jones gets the start and carves up Florida. Then Dobbs comes back for the rest of the year and finishes the rest of the SEC off on our way to Atlanta with a one-game lead over the Gators.

How you like them apples, HG? Even you would have to appreciate that! 😜

If I had to guess, the QBs go like this:

Dobbs till 2016.
Guarantano from 2017-2019.
Trevor Lawrence 2020-2022.

I said this back in September so nobody says I'm just saying this now cause Hunter Johnson flipped but I was never impressed with him. Especially after seeing him live on ESPN.

Guarantano was always the future QB of this team.
