It is interesting watching how these recruits view Tennessee. Obviously, a lot of Tennessee kids have wanted to be Vols all their lives, but what's even more interesting is when out of state kids sort of fall in love with the program. One reason I've always thought we have a good shot at Derrick Brown is that he seems to have a similar reaction when talking about UT. None of the recruiting experts have ever predicted that he'd choose us, but there's almost a glow when he talks about Tennessee. Doesn't necessarily mean he's choose the Vols, but definitely doesn't hurt.

Is he teammates with the #1 RB (or maybe just both from NJ) that just flipped from Ohio State to MI? If so, that flip worries me some. MI is doing very well in recruiting right now.

I know at one time we had hope that he could lure that #1 RB from Ohio State to UT. I worry that the RB may lure him from UT to MI. That's all I am saying. If you have not put two and two together then ok.

They're not teammates just friends. And no Kareem Walker is not the #1 rb in the country. That would be Tavien Feaster. Walker is overrated and this rb class is weak in general.

Sorry I got my facts slightly wrong (just friends, both from NJ and not the #1 RB), but the way MI is recruiting it just had me worried. It looks like I was worried for nothing. Thanks. I hope to get up to speed on the recruiting over the holidays and I hope we start getting a lot of good news during that time like we did the last 2 years. That was fun seeing more and more recruits pick UT.

Just looked Walker up on Rivals and he is the #1 running back. Not sure why you guys are saying he is not. He is #2 on Scout. I thought I read an article that said MI flipped the #1 RB from Ohio State to MI. Anyway, I guess no need to worry after all.

Great highlights! I'm not being a jerk but is his center a dwarf? He looks very short and moves oddly. He throws some nice blocks to keep the pressure off of JG too!

Eh...maybe your right..I might need to sit the next few plays out. The relentless crap throwing monkees are killing me. It is non stop...some of you guys like it cause it fits your agenda. "Butch and company can't coach, and now he can't recruit either. They got lucky the last couple of years, and now we see how bad they really are"..that's about it right? It's incredibly rare that the "package deal" happens with teammates or friends who are both top talents. So for people who follow recruiting, especially JGs recruitment, it's not really very logical.

You can't call someone an intellectual light weight and proclaim yourself a better fan than someone else. Just saying.

Also, there's nothing out there that supports JG to Michigan. The RB at least had a mild interest in UT and the process was on full blast for all three NJ kids. That process ended with JG a long time ago and they already parted ways with their choice. From what we know, it is not logical to think JG is going to Michigan or could at this point. Yes, it could change but again, there is nothing supporting that.
