From Rivals...

"After three days of practice Guarantano has been by far the most impressive quarterback on either team. He’s shown good consistency as a passer while also flashing nice athleticism when plays break down. The Tennessee commit should be the favorite to start for Team Armour on Saturday based on the first three days of play."

Give me Jarrett as the QB from 2017-2020 and then Trevor Lawerence after that. Also I won't count out Dormady either for the job. QB battle for 2017 season will be interesting.

I could be wrong but if he is as good as we hope i just dont see him being at UT for 5 yrs. I think 3 or 4, barring injury.

Kelly is good (maybe even really good) but I don't see a Hurd-like talent. We're gonna need a stud freshmen to come in 2017.

No, we really don't.

Good grief... Kelly, Young, CFA... I don't see the despair there, especially with the talent that we have on the OL. A great freshmen may be a nice bonus, but we are past the point of needing a freshman savior.

I agree with you. Plus, there are three very good HS RBs in Tennessee for the class of '17 alone. I bet CBJ lands at least one and probably two very good '17 RBs either in or out of state. And, the RB position is one where freshmen routinely contribute.

It should also be noted that I think CFA is going to be beastly.

Hands down, Vols quarterback commitment Jarrett Guarantano has been the best quarterback through the first three practices. Not only is he the one with the best instincts when it comes to getting out of the pocket, but he makes good decisions and has been very accurate for the most part downfield. He still needs to show it under the lights in the game, but he continues to impress me.

Kelly, Young and CFA won't be on the same level as Hurd. Sorry. They all may be good but Hurd is great.
