The Garden state has produced a few gems in my lifetime that played at UT..

Greg Amsler
Sterling Henton
Bill Duff
Turk McBride

If my memory is correct there was a RB that played in the 80's with the last name of Page?!?

Anyone remember?!

We had an RB named Pete Panuska in the mid-1980s, and I think he was from NJ.

Also, don't forget Carl Zander, a beast linebacker during the early 80's.

JG's school was considered to have the toughest schedule in the country last season and this season it again will be loaded so his competition level has been great. Great conference and out of state games.

I think we have found our 2016 class recruiter right here. It's a good thing, since two of our needs are RB and WR.

I agree. A near carbon copy IMO. Same build, same skill-set, same strengths and weaknesses.

I was about to disagree because Kaepernick is so big now but coming out of HS according to Rivals he was actually smaller than Guarantano.

Also if accurate Guarantano is a lot faster than Kap out of HS. 5.0 forty for Kap at Palo Alto Nike Camp.

Yeah Kap was skinny in HS. I don't recall him being jacked in college either but he has been since getting with 49ers. JG looks a lot like him. Cannon Arm. long Stride, fast, looks, needs work on accuracy. Sounds like Kap to me

Yeah, 4 years in a college S&C program, plus an additional 4 years in an NFL S&C program has done wonders for Kaep. JG is technically still a high school junior too, so at the same stage, they were very similar physically.

Interesting about Kaep's speed (or lack of) in HS. He ran a 4.53 at the combine, ao he really made an improvement there. JG runs around a 4.6 already. I'm really excited about him.

Who knows how accurate that high school 40 time was back at the time Kap ran it? Those are all over the map sometimes.
