The Garden state has produced a few gems in my lifetime that played at UT..
Greg Amsler
Sterling Henton
Bill Duff
Turk McBride
If my memory is correct there was a RB that played in the 80's with the last name of Page?!?
Anyone remember?!
I agree. A near carbon copy IMO. Same build, same skill-set, same strengths and weaknesses.
I was about to disagree because Kaepernick is so big now but coming out of HS according to Rivals he was actually smaller than Guarantano.
Also if accurate Guarantano is a lot faster than Kap out of HS. 5.0 forty for Kap at Palo Alto Nike Camp.

Yeah, 4 years in a college S&C program, plus an additional 4 years in an NFL S&C program has done wonders for Kaep. JG is technically still a high school junior too, so at the same stage, they were very similar physically.
Interesting about Kaep's speed (or lack of) in HS. He ran a 4.53 at the combine, ao he really made an improvement there. JG runs around a 4.6 already. I'm really excited about him.

By opening camp I mean the ones to qualify for the event in July. That's when dilfer and company get an idea of who should be in it.
