What are the odds that JG moves up in the rankings with a great senior season?

His highlight film is incredible but his stats aren't. However, you can clearly tell he's one of the best QB prospects in a very long time. Would a solid senior season be enough to bump him up to 5* status? It looks like he has all the tools to get there from a physical standpoint.

I think he ends up a 5 star or very close to being one.

Agreed. It seems bizarre that Kendall, while a good QB prospect in his own right, will likely end up a 5* but JG is about 60 spots too low (on Rivals).

JG is the type of QB who wins games by himself.

It's probably the production. I think he'll have a great season, though.

I won't play that guys silly game. It's obvious he has never been to Tennessee, much less Knoxville, TN. I however have been to New Jersey. I actually am quite fond of Hoboken. It's a nice small city that is styled kind of like New York......except the sidewalks are about three or four times wider than the NYC sidewalks, which is a major plus.

About every other trip or so to NYC, I'll stay in Hoboken to kind of change it up a little.

Carlo's bakery tho. How many times do you go there when in Hoboken?

How about we let him go through a practice first? I don't doubt he'll do well here, but this thread is worse than Kenny Trill(tm)'s parents.

Bad thread. It's not appropriate to try to label the young man with a nickname. If anyone can do so it will be his teammates.

The stick... remove it...

Afterwards, you can feel free to start a thread of your own..

I hope you do actually. I've been waiting my entire VN career for the chance for tutelage under the great and mighty AllforTenn. I absolutely cannot wait to see what profound and captivating off-season thread you produce. I have my pencil and notepad at the ready. Show me how it's done!

there is actually some beautiful parts of New Jersey and some horrible parts.

Its truly the heaven and hell of states.

:)
That is not the important issue......he already knows his best opportunity to see the field is at RU, and he comes back very often......vol fans can think he is a lock, but it certainly looks like he still is looking and thinking...

He very well could have almost committed on his visit to tenn, but he has done the same thing with Ohio state and on a previous visit to RU....I think he just does not know for sure..
:)

Is JG attending any camps this spring or summer? I haven't followed recruiting for very long, but I've noticed the 5th star often comes after a recruit blows up other elites at camps or All-American games.

He is back at RU today.....he really loves it there....

This post was twelve days ago. I wonder if he still feels the same way now.......between twitter, comment sections of articles and the RU message boards, I'd say he's probably had his fill of Rutgers and their fans about now.

Hopefully he is.

I mean, stars are ultimately meaningless, but JG is a 5-star talent and I hope he reaches that status. Plus, having a 5-star QB committed will only help us with other recruits as we head toward NSD.
