If we do what is expected of us in the next week we will take a top 5 spot in the AP poll.

I work with a lot of Pitt alumni. I'm glad they won, lets take care of Vandy on Thursday.

I hate Pitt. I wanted them to win for a selfish reason. Now I can go back to hoping they lose every game.

yeah, Pitt's not any good. I still don't know how Duke didn't beat them by 20.

:eek:lol:

I'm glad you said it, because I really wanted to. I'll tell you, Pitt impressed the hell out of me tonight, they are really playing well without two of their original starting five. I must say I am surprised they could beat Georgetown.

he has been to the tournament four times in four years and gone to the Sweet 16 twice, all the while averaging 26 wins (11 conference wins) a season in the toughest conference in college basketball. I'm not taking sides, but he has been impressive.

He's underachieved greatly in 2 of those tournament births. I'm not ridiculing him any, but he's yet to show he can win the big games. I will say what he's doing right now is simply remarkable.

also, please, please, please admit that you aren't really in AP English. no one has ever earned a tournament birth.

several teams have earned tournament berths over the years though.

In the two tourneys in question, Pitt was a 9 seed and lost in the first round to a very good Pacific team. In the other they lost to Bradley (who had beaten Kansas two days prior.) They may have underachieved in the second one, but it was by no means "greatly"

07 i really try to give you the benefit of the doubt. But you continue to prove you don't have one inkling of knowledge when it comes to basketball. What Dixon has done at Pitt has been nothing short of remarkable, including his tourney runs.

I'm not trying to take away from a fabulous record, but he's by no means been spectacular in the NCAA Tournament

So you're saying the Bradley loss is/was acceptable?

he's also a young coach, getting better and bringing Pitt into the upper echelon of college teams. I guess he should have made the Final Four as a 9 seed.
